Our big girl eats three meals a day, with bottles in between. She is getting pretty good at a sippy cup, and her pincer grasp is great. She has eight, yes, eight teeth. And as you can see here...she can even eat crackers on her own now! As long as she can see us, she's happy!
Once and a while she puts on a show for us, just to fit in.
The twins have been attached at the hip lately. I mean, they always play together, but lately, they go no where without each other. We've been talking more and more about the potty. They don't yet have all of the readiness signs, but we're getting there. They think they're pretty cool sitting together, even when fully clothed!
And nothing much is new with Miss P. She still wears dress up clothes 75% of the time, loves playing her leap pad, drawing and dancing. And lately, she also loves to take whatever her brothers have...and stir up trouble. A few Paisleyisms...
After hearing "mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy...I yelled, UGH, I don't want to be mommy right now. Paisley says, "do you just want to be Brook?" I said, "yes. yes I do, just for one day." So when Craig got home from work, she proceeded to tell him, "daddy, mommy just wants to be Brook for one day. Okay?!"
Grandma Bonnie came to spend the night so that I could go to a girls weekend get-a-way for one night (Craig had to work at 2am)-- Grandma was going into the bathroom to change and Paisley said, "Grandma, can I come in there with you? I promise I won't laugh!"
When leaving the Lokkens house after a play date, we had this conversation" "Mommy, was daddy in your belly?" No, Paisley, he was in Grandma Bonnie's belly. "Oh. Well mom, I wish I would have been in auntie Melissa's belly and then you and daddy and hudson and madden and everleigh could live close to us and I could drive to visit you in uncle Cal's truck." (great. so basically you wish you lived with the Lokkens and that Melissa was your mom.)
"Mom, just so you know, I am totally prettier than you. You are pretty too, but I'm the prettiest. I even wear vaseline on my lips."
I've been terrible at snapping pictures of the kids lately. Typically, I have a hundred or so to choose from each week. For the last couple of weeks, what you're seeing is what I've taken. The twins are on the move and run from the camera, Everleigh blinks with the flash and just rolls all over, and Paisley gives me the most "cheeeeeesiest" face ever that very few of hers turn out. Right now, Oscar the best chance of me getting a good picture!
It's cold here. Really cold. The older I get, the more I hate winter. I cannot wait for life without coats, mittens or hats, warming up the van or cabin fever.
