In the Name of the Father...

Each night when we pray, I close my eyes. I've peeked before, and Paisley's closing hers too. Earlier this week, I took the camera up to bedtime to take a photo of prayers for my 365 blog. So while we prayed, I kept my eyes open and took pictures. Check out Madden. This cracks me up! He's concentrating so hard on shutting his eyes for the sign of the cross....and I guess he peeks too during prayers. Love him.

The reason for the 365 payer picture....
Almost 3 years ago, my uncle Larry was diagnosed with ALS. A terrible, terrible disease. He's been gradually dealing with the affects of ALS since then. His speech is impaired and his small motor development has been affected. But Tuesday night, he was airlifted to the hospital because he was increasingly unable to breathe on his own. And this week, the reality of ALS has hit our entire family. Larry had a tracheotomy on Thursday and a feeding tube inserted on Friday. As you can imagine...this isn't easy for anyone...especially Larry. We've been praying for Larry...and for Mary, Lane and Joel. I've been able to visit Larry in the hospital, and once, brought Paisley with. On the way to the hospital, Paisley said to me, "I can't wait to see uncle Larry. I miss him. And I hope the boys aren't mad that I'm special. I'm special because Larry is my Godfather." .....Yes, Paisley, you are so right!

This week has been somewhat of a blur. With my thoughts on Larry and the family, and a huge work event...I didn't get the camera out much. :( But here is what I did get on camera...

Hudson hamming it up...

Madden building an "Elmo Bell" (really?! how long is this obsession going to last?!)

We Craig set up the tent...we are heading out this week on a camping adventure. Just thinking about the amount of crap we will have to pack is giving me a headache. Well...those who know me well, know that the list has already been started and placed on my refrigerator because, duh...that's the best part!! It's actually getting the stuff loaded that is no fun! We rain proofed the tent (and the kids got the rain proofer stuff stuck in their hair and it took me about 4 washes each to get it out!!) and are looking forward to camping! I only hope that the Lokkens know what they are in for!

Craig's team for my work's fundraising event...

While Miss P and I were at the hospital and getting groceries...the twins got a treat!

Paisley is loving this. Everleigh, not so much. And I'm on Ever's side. I'm a nervous wreck when she picks her up. I mean, look at their legs...they are practically the same size! :)

It takes Hudson about an hour to really wake up from his nap. He won't speak. If you look at him, he runs back into his crib. We've learned to just ignore him until he's ready to play.

And Everleigh Calla...stealing the lens cap from my camera. :)

So yeah...boring pictures tonight. I promise I won't disappoint next week. I mean...4 kids four and under, camping???!! Brave, no. Stupid, probably!

Have a good week....
