I hate missing a week of blogging. I hate it for several reasons. One, because I simply cannot remember what happened in our life for more than a week at a time. Two, because everyone asks me about it, and three, because I feel defeated.
But, thanks for finding your way back to us after a couple of weeks. And no thanks to September for creeping up on us. BOO.
Whenever I have a lot of pictures to upload, I get through the first ten or so, and then blogger decides to hate me. It takes so, so very long. And by the time (sometimes hours later...hours I do not have in a day) I get them uploaded, I have no motivation left to tell the stories of our week. Or if I muster up the energy, the stories don't depict what really happened, are no longer funny and sometimes, I might just plain old put you to sleep on a Sunday night.
And as you may be able to guess...blogger was seriously painful tonight. And I had about 10 more pictures I wanted to add, and I gave up. So...here's a run down of what we've done over that last couple of weeks.
OH, and before the pictures... I have to happily report that Madden no longer needs speech!! YAY! He's developmentally appropriate and has exited the program! Now if only she would have also corrected the whining while she was here....
We are so lucky, because Craig is really creative. He constructed this train for the kids to decorate and color. It moved from the deck, to the sun room, and now it's in the garage. Super fun!
I wish we had a bigger bath tub. When you put two in, wash them up, get them dressed, then wash the other two...the first two get wet again. It's a never ending cycle. BUT, they all love bath time!
Last week I took my birthday off, and we went to the zoo! It was a gorgeous day, filled with lots of fun!
We also did some painting. It was really fun. Ahem. It might be a while before we do this again. :)
And did some swimming. Before you know it, I'm going to be complaining about winter and snow and below zero temps. We gotta get the pool time in while we can!
Everleigh found Madden's belly button...it was so cute!! Madden loved it too!
And then Hudson found out that if you pour water on dead grass/dirt, it turns into MUD!
And then Everleigh found out what mud tastes like. And then it was time to end swimming.
Even though sometimes toys come between them...they all love each other so much. I heart these moments.
One of Madden's very favorite activities...
Today...I took the kids up to where my Grandma and Grandpa live. Craig worked and then had his fantasy football draft, so it was a mommy-kiddo day/night. We visited family, went to a parade, ate lots of candy, jumped around, and ended the night with walks, baths and books.
And now...I'm done. The house is quiet. The kids and dog are sleeping. Craig's out for the night. The house is a mess...but I'm getting my jammies on and going to watch tv! The house can wait until tomorrow. Heck, we have the day off! And then it's back to the grind. I'm teaching three classes this semester, as well as my work at the FRC. My nights now have zero relaxation time...so tonight...Ahhhh...
