iPhone Dump

Even though I have a really nice camera, it didn't make it out of the cupboard much this week. So instead, you get the iPhone dump. Sorry and enjoy.

The child who is deathly afraid of anything and everything in a costume, is dressed up as Elmo. Maybe this Halloween will be a bit better?!

I celebrated my 25th , 26th, 27th....okay...32nd Birthday this week. Flowers sent to work, great homemade cards, my family and my favorite meal made by my mommy made it perfect. I don't care for cake, so my mom (with a little help from the kids) made me ice cream flowers. To die for.

Cousins, Cody and Payton were staying at G&G Bergs, so we all went bowling. The kids had fun, especially Paisley and Cody. The littles lost interest quickly, and so did I. Also...I am not a germ-a-phob at all. It doesn't bother me if my kids don't wash every germ off before they eat. But bowling alleys....gross. They scream germs to me, and I couldn't wash their hands enough. The smell alone makes me want to shower. Eh.

Seeing this never gets old. Oscar will celebrate his 9th Birthday this week. I'm so glad he loves sleeping with Ev. Except sometimes I miss him in our bed.

Summer is ending soon. Miss P will be heading off to kindergarten in just one week. I cannot believe it. This summer has gone by SO fast, and we've had so many life changing experiences this summer. Some good, some bad.
It's the small things in life that I hope our children will always remember. Like summer evenings running out for the ice cream bike that drives through the neighborhood. I love summer. I love ice cream. I love my kids too, people.
Going on walks, doing sidewalk chalk, swimming in the driveway, running races around the yard. It's those things I will remember the most.

There are many mixed emotions about Paisley going off to school, all day, every day. But this chick is ready. It's been too long at home, with her siblings, with no friends, and no other authority figures to listen to. The girl is bossy, and in tears every other second. I love her dearly, but good LAWD, she needs a break from this house.

Today when Craig got home from work, I had to run some errands. I was kind of looking forward to running them alone. Craig wanted to go swimming, so I said, "If you want to go to the beach to swim, go with daddy. If you want to run to Target, come with mommy." To my surprise, we each ended up with two kids.
Let me tell you, with no disrespect to those moms with two kids, having two kids is SO easy! I absolutely loved my time with them. And I know Craig would say the same. Actually...he said, "I was bored."
Because we never got to experience what it's like to have just two children, it's so weird for us.
Craig, Hudson and Everleigh went swimming, and then had dinner at a rootbeer stand. Paisley, Madden and I went to Target and then out for dinner too. I know I always say this, but we have to do this more often. They deserve it. And so do we.

You might be wondering how my first week at the new job went. Or, you may not even remember that I started one. Either way, I worked really long hours, missed my fam like crazy, and was beyond exhausted. Don't get me wrong, I like the job a lot, it's just very different. The people are great and so was my 3 minute commute to work.
And then, because my life hasn't had enough stress or change lately, I got the opportunity of a lifetime Thursday night. I was offered a position, a dream position for me, through the University of WI. So after just working 4 days at my new job, I resigned. Believe me, I felt feel terrible!! Terrible. But I had to do what I felt was best for me and my fam. SO...I will once again begin a new journey in the next couple of weeks. For real this time. :)

Thanks for popping by to read! And this week, I'm really going to try to get the actual camera out. Ain't nobody got time for a bunch a iPhone pics. (and if you still don't know that phrase, you tube that would ya?!) Oh lawwd jesus its a fiiire.
