Halloween

Welcome to the all about Halloween post. I love Halloween. I'm not into dressing up myself, but I love the fun and excitement of the kids dressing up.
Paisley had to miss her school's Harvest Dance because she had dance class that night. She was fine with it because she could dress up. Here are the Thursday Minis.
And somehow, Halloween aged her like 7 years. Crap.

The morning of Halloween, Hudson and Madden had a parade at school, followed by a classroom party. I took the day off so I could be at every activity. :)
The first of our kiddos to walk through the gym was Madden, also known as Syndrome. I'm not sure what happened to his wig in the 15 minutes between when I dropped him off in his classroom and when they came parading through...but oh well. He was the perfect Syndrome.

Next came Mikey. He wasn't so sure of everyone looking at him, but the mask helped. He was the perfect TMNT! (again)
 4K classroom party.

Next we made it to Paisley's school for her parade...

Old Lady Everleigh
While our friends and family ate, we got the kids ready to head out to trick or treat. Well, all except Everleigh. She was refusing. She was not dressing up. We tried every thing we could think of to get her to change her mind. Her response? Fine, I'll dress us as a witch! Umm, a witch?? Trick or Treating started 10 minutes ago and we do not have a witch costume for you! I had given up. I was sad, thinking she'd be staying home with Grandpa to hand out candy when all of the sudden, Craig had her half dressed. The other kids were already outside waiting so I quick sprayed (half) of her hair gray and out the door we went! Although she was missing some of her costume, she was the hit of the neighborhood.

My favorite characters in the world...

Paisley's "friend-boy" stopped, so we had to get a pic.

Counting and sorting the loot

So much work, but all worth it. Now the candy enforcers are hired. I already caught one child behind the couch just "looking" at a piece of candy. One guess who it was. Yep. Hudders. He promised me he'd ask from now on. I don't believe him.

Now it's November. Insert tears here. I already miss the warm. Now we have to come up with creative ways to stay busy and keep the sibling rivalry at bay. This weekend, we had a success with building our own roads and cities. The countdown to spring begins.

Hope you had a great Halloween too!
XOXO,
