Guess what friends? I said my very first word!!! Earlier in the week, I heard mom and dad questioning if it was really my first word, so I had to say it over and over and over to prove to them that I am actually saying "OSCAR"!!! Isn't that fun? I can talk! Now I just have to learn to say "daddy, rub mama's back" and everything will be good!
As you know, this was my first week back at Londa's house...and boy is it fun! I love to watch my bigger friends play, they are so cool! I was a good napper and an all around good girl, whew! There isn't a picture because...well, because Dad forgot the camera!! Auntie Melissa did get a picture, but we don't have it yet. Maybe next week. Way to go dad!
I have a bit of a cold, or allergies, or something that makes my nose run. My grandma Brenda always says, "isn't it funny how your nose runs and your feet smell?" ...she's funny!
My new thing this week is standing up. As I've told you before...whoever invented "tummy time" should die. Well, basically you know I hate laying on my belly, and am not interested one bit, no matter what you bribe me with...my tummy is not my friend, and neither is crawling! However...I love me some standing! I am so good at just leaning up against the furniture and checking things out from the standing view. My cankles aren't even sore yet! :)
Today my mommy and I had a date with lots of other mommy's and babies my age. It's going to be tradition...we went to Irvine Park and ate, and took pictures (that was a site to see...I'll post them when the photographer gets them online) and I talked with all the other kids. We pretty much decided that our moms are crazy, but we love them anyway! The kids that were there were... Tyler, Colton, Lily, Ariahna, Gavin, Caden, Magnolia, Spencer, Kamden, Ella, Chase, Drake, and Jake. (I hope I didn't forget anyone!)
This week the Blue Angels are in town. Hmm. What are Blue Angels? Boys in heaven?? Oh, wait...my brother just told me that they are very noisy air planes!! For those of you who don't know, we live right by the airport...and so does Londa! I overheard my parents saying they are going to drug us....oops, I mean, drug Oscar...and pray to god I don't scream for four days while they are here. I'm sure I'll be fiiiiiine!
And, the biggest news of all is that I have a new friend!!! Avaya Louise was born yesterday (her parents are Brianna and Adam). I cannot wait to play with her!! It's going to be so fun because now Bri , Kari and mom all have little girls...we will be trouble someday, no doubt!
Hugs and Kisses,
Paisers
