What is there to know?

What's there to know about....
Hudson Koehler...

Hudson laughs. A lot. He is happy most of the time. Although, if you yell at him, he does cry. He's a sensitive little guy. Hudson has a lot of words, and is putting two of them together. My favorites are "hi, baby" and "all better". He loves jumping and doing whatever Paisley tells him to do.

What's there to know about...
Madden Michael...

Madden loves to rock. And by "likes", I mean he is completely obsessed with rocking. He begs for the tv on and then RUNS to the rocking chair, hops in and rocks and rocks and rocks. He also loves telephones. Mine. Craig's. Pretend phones. Whatever, he just likes phones. Tonight we tucked him in holding on to three phones for dear life. Madden is also quite mischievous. And if you scold him, he laughs and does it again--no matter how mad you are.

What's there to know about...
Paisley Rian...

Paisley loves to write and draw. Her three favorite things to do are: write/draw, dance and pretend play. Hmmm, she's not my daughter, is she? She is really into pop music and trying to sing the lyrics. We usually hear, "Every day I'm shufflin'"...but one day she sang to Craig, "I'm sexy and I know it" (might be time to monitor the music in the house/car!) Paisley is very interested in reading and already showing some pre-reading signs. She also promptly lets me know when I skip a sentence in a book. Shoot. We're there already! And Paisley is also obsessed with what the day of the week is, and often answers like this--  (I say...)"Paisley, you need to eat your peaches." "Mom, what day is it?" "It's Sunday." "Umm, Mom, I don't like peaches on Sundays."

What's there to know about...
Everleigh Calla...

Everleigh is a drooly little thing. She sucks and chews on anything and everything she can get to her mouth. She is finally in a sleeping routine. Ever giggles when she is ticked by her neck. She loves being outside and she loves kicking her legs. She is so close to rolling over and sits assisted.

What's there to know about...
The Bergs....

The Berg's life is crazy, fun, tiring, and full of love and laughs. The picture above was an attempt to get a family picture. HA. A family picture with 1 1/2 year old twins and a dog--see, it's the boys that are trouble-- isn't easy. Thanks, Emily for trying! And an even more accurate depiction of our family will be in your mailboxes in oh, about 2 months.

A little Blog-Bragging....So I hear Paisley saying her ABC's from the kitchen. She then yells out, "mom, how do I make a "J"? " So, I said, an "I" with a hook on the end. A few minutes later she says, "mom, how do you draw a "U"? So I showed her how to make a U, V and Z. Otherwise, this work is totally unprompted...all the work of my bright 3 1/2 year old. Pretty good if I do say so myself!

Maybe you read this blog every week. Maybe this is your first time here. Maybe you are a family member and see us every month. Whatever the connection to us, it's likely that you understand that we try our very hardest to keep a close eye on our children. However. It's simply just not possible to be with all of the kids at all times. Saturday, Everleigh was fussy. I was rocking her to calm her down. I was in the living room for, oh, about 5 minutes. It was somewhat quiet...as we know, never a good sign...so I went to check things out. This is what I saw. Hudson standing on the stools watching cartoons...and Madden, bouncing away on the counter, in Everleigh's seat. Seriously, Madden???!!!!

A special shout out and big THANK YOU to Great Aunt Ann for watching the kiddos two days this week! It's not an easy job, and we sure appreciate it!
Oh...and how great is it to be a WI sports fan this weekend?! Yeah, baby!!!

Thanks for checking in!

What a great post, Brook! It's so much fun seeing your little ones "virtually" grow up. Hope I get to meet them some day. In the meantime, know that you do a GREAT job describing their personalities and all the fun that goes along with it. They will treasure it some day. :)
