Twenty Twelve

2012. Wow. It's 2012! Happy New Year, blog followers!

This week's post is all mostly about Miss P. The big 4 year old celebrated her big day...but first...

Everleigh does really well with food. But here, I think the food won.
(Also, my 6 month old now has 6 teeth. And is scooting and turning all over. She's too big!)

Thursday night we (all) went to cheer Paisley on at her very first half-time performance! I cannot explain how much she's been looking forward to this. She was so proud of herself, and we were proud parents too. Thanks to those who came to watch, it meant so much to her!

Just about to head out on the floor....

There she is...way on the left hand side. The one whose shirt looks like a dress because she's so small! :) Her class is the 4K/5K class, so she the youngest by several months.

Makyah also performed at the same game!

Like I've mentioned before, Hudson loves to dress up. He also loves to do my hair. And I guess he likes it when Paisley does his too. He just kept saying, "pretty"! :)

And smiles from Ever...

The twins, OH, the twins. It's always something. And I really mean always. I know, toddlers are a lot of work. But these two, they make me tired the second I get them up in the morning. They also make us laugh more than any other boys we know. I  mean, who doesn't love a nice, warm bubble bath??!!

Miss P celebrated her 4th Birthday this weekend!! Before we get to the pictures...let me tell you about our Paisley Rian.
At her doctor appointment, we learned that Paisley is 35 pounds (53 percentile) and is 39.17 inches tall (36 percentile). She is off the charts for development, as I am positive she would have passed that developmental screener when she was 3! We did however find out that she didn't pass her hearing test. So, we'll be going back for further testing. I've never ever questioned it before, so we'll see....

Paisley is also still receiving speech services through the school district. On Wednesdays she visits Miss Jackie for 1/2 hour. And the best news, Paisley's speech is now developmentally appropriate! The errors she makes are now common for kids her age. She still has troubles with certain sounds, but has made significant improvements and is understood by others about 80% of the time! A far cry from the 30% just a year ago!

Paisley loves: singing, dancing, drawing, writing, dressing up, and doing pretend play.
Her favorite foods are: Mac n cheese, edemame, hard salami and cottage cheese.
Her favorite saying: "How do you know?!"

My conversation with Paisley this evening:
What kind of kid are you? A big kid and I can do jokes now.
What are your favorite things to do as a 4 year old? Play dress up and easy bake oven.
Who are your friends? Lydia, Cambree, Makyah, Cody, Payton and Izzy.
What are you good at? Drawing, Dancing, Playing Easy Bake Oven, Playing Games and Playing Dress Up.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A blue flag girl dancer.
Who do you want to marry when you grow up? You, mommy!
Who is our president? Izzy my pretend dog.
What do you think about our family? I love it.
What do you want to work on by the time you are 5? Just Dance 3.
What are the major issues facing our society? I don't know what that is mom.
What do you love most about the twins? Playing together in their cribs.
What do you love most about Everleigh? Playing with her.
What do you love most about me? Cooking, that's it. You get one thing.
What do you love most about Daddy? Rocking with him when I can't sleep and that's it.
Tell me about yourself- I'm a four girl.

Celebrating her Birthday...

Her first time cooking in her easy bake oven....

And that wraps up 2011. And to be honest, I'm glad. 2012 is a new year, and hopefully a fresh start. If I think back hard enough, I believe that my resolution was to judge people less...and I think I've done a pretty good job. Still plenty of room for improvement, it's not as easy as it sounds. This year, I need to get healthy. All around. Find some healthy ways to handle my stress. Get more sleep. Exercise more. Blah blah blah.

Another goal of mine....to take one picture every single day for the entire year. The picture will be of whatever I want. Whatever I am feeling. Whatever I am into. Whatever my day brings. I know, I know....my resolution was to get more sleep, NOT do another blog. But, here goes nothing. Follow my 365 here or visit the tab at the top of our family blog.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that whatever you're dreaming of for 2012 comes true. And my new favorite motto that I'm living by.... Dreams don't work unless you do.
