the bergie bunch: Hello, Outdoors!

First things first. Everleigh's toe is healing up really nicely! We met with the doctor on Friday, and he gave us the go-ahead to take off her bandage and just let the cuts heal up on their own. We just keep a sock on for protection, and that's it. Not gonna lie, I'm still really nervous about it. But, I have to trust that it's going to be just fine. She doesn't complain about it at all, so it must not be painful! It looks much better...so here are a coupe of pictures.

First, the top of her foot. You can see exactly where the hair was cutting her poor little toe. The day we saw it...you couldn't even see that line, her toe was too swollen and purple. What you see on top is some skin, which is now gone.

And the underneath. We didn't want to pull her toe back...so you don't really see just how deep it is. But you get the picture.

On to brighter days....it's finally nice enough to go outside, hooray!!! Long winters inside equal crazy cooped up kids and just as equally crazy and cooped up parents! Being outside is the best!!! Except when it requires giving the children baths every night, without question.
