Everleigh claps, waves hi/bye, says "mama", pulls herself up to stand, takes a few steps hanging on to the table/couch, crawls like crazy everywhere and can even climb up a step, has a perfect pincer grasp and eats all big-people food now! I'd list her favorites, but there isn't anything she doesn't like (yet!). Everleigh is understanding object constancy, she responds well to her name and is imitating speech sounds.
She loves: snuggling, her blanky, baths, eating, and just being held.
She hates: diaper changes and when we all walk of the the room!
Ever wakes up around 7am, takes a nap from 9:30am-10:30am and again from 1:00-2:30...and then goes to sleep for the night between 7 and 7:30pm. She still wakes in the night, but (knock on wood) she usually goes back to sleep with just a pat on the back and an insert of the nuk.
She is learning and growing so fast, it's hard to keep up! She is such a happy and content baby, thank goodness!! :)
Happy 9 months, Everleigh Calla!! Here's to hoping the next three months are the slowest months of my life. One year doesn't seem okay with me.
Since the weather has been absolutely bea-utiful, we have spent every second we can outside! I mean, can you believe it's mid-march and 81 degrees?!?! I LOVE it! But from the way the twins have reacted, you'd think that we have kept them locked up with no access to the outside world for the last 4 months. They are terrified of....well....pretty much everything. But dogs top the list. Yes, yes, we do have our own dog. And actually, there is a big dog at day care as well. However, the second they see a dog, they go running towards the house screaming, "DOG... HOUSE!!" Okay, day one...I get it. But we've been outside for hours and hours for a week straight...and they haven't stopped!! The bad news for them...is that we have dogs on all but one side of our house! Poor things...it's going to be a long summer at this rate!
But despite the new-found terror of dogs....we've been having a blast just being Bergs.
Check out Hudson's "stinker" face...he does this when he knows he's not suppose to be doing something...or, I guess when I tell him to look at the camera.
Pictures. Ah, pictures. I absolutely from the bottom of my heart love pictures. I could look at pictures all day. I study every detail of every picture. I just love them. The unfortunate part about having four children, four and under...is that they do not share the love of pictures with me. Hopefully on each of their wedding days, things will go a little more smoothly for the sibling pictures....
Take 1...
Take 2...
Take 3...
Take.....nope. That's it. We never did get one of all four looking. Heck, we didn't even get one of all four seated at the same time. Better luck next time.
BUT, we did get some sugar lips, smackin' Miss P. I hope Hudders saves those lips for his mama only!
Today, the Lokkens picked Paisley up for a play date! She has so much fun with her cousins and makes sure that I know each time she returns that she would rather live with them... thanks for being the best friends a girl could ask for, Kyah and Cams!
You may have read from my 365 that our friends, Matt and Hannah welcomed baby Elyse Hope into the world this week! We are so happy for them! Congrats! And thankfully, baby Elyse is doing well, but has had some serious health concerns. We were able to visit the whole family in Rochester, and get a peek at baby E...she's beautiful! We look forward to visiting with them again when they arrive home!
Our plan for the week is to enjoy this weather a bit more, and hope and pray that the "S" word doesn't come up again until ...uh...December! :)
Loves,
B and family
