4 little monkeys.......

A sleep over with cousins; what is better than that??!!

Cams, Paisley and Kyah all slept on the air mattress in the living room. Well...until about 4:00am...then the middle little monkey snuck in bed with her mommy.

They played board games, did obstacle courses, played house and baked us breakfast for the morning!

The next afternoon, they had a kool-aid stand. By the time it was over, I was wiped out! Trying to keep Everleigh out of the street, the cups from being stepped on and licked, watching the twins because they kept trying to pour kool-aid....I'm pretty sure I earned the $7.00 they made. :)

Today, Hudson and Madden are exactly 2 1/2. That means tomorrow, they are closer to the terrific threes than to the terrible twos, right??!! They have grown so much this summer....they all have.

Paisley is learning how to do cart-wheels, is writing sentences, sounding out words, in to organizing and list making, draws very detailed pictures, and loves...being in charge, Nicki Manaj, dance, picking up Everleigh against our wishes, coloring, and pretend play. Paisley is very mature, responsible, polite, silly, creative, bossy, loving, strong willed and artistic.

Hudson is talking and talking and talking, he is into airplanes, babies, trains, baseball, hockey, and snuggling. He refuses to sit on the big boy potty, but will tell you that he goes. He is by far the one that listens the worst...he will not clean up toys to save his life! Hudson is into pretend play and always has a stuffed animal or baby with him. He is funny, loud, sensitive, mature, thoughtful and stubborn.

Madden is really into....wait for it.....Elmo Bell. Yes, still. He's saying three-four word combinations and his speech is significantly improving. He loves iphones, ipads, DVDs, sidewalk chalk, books (although he still destroys them), hates to go to bed (is our worst sleeper) and has gone potty on the big boy potty several times! Madden is active, silly, sweet, scared of bugs/dogs/birds, messy and generous with his hugs and kisses.

Everleigh is running (literally) all over. She says two and three word combinations (she can even say "ring around the rosey")--her vocabulary is exploding like crazy. She loves stuffed animals, her blanky, dancing, being held, eating dog food and sidewalk chalk, and taking baths. She plays really well with the big kids and screams when she doesn't get her way. Everleigh is sweet, snuggly, loud, talkative, terrible at waiting for me to cook food, squirmy for diaper changes and a lover.

The little monkey's have been busy playing outside. It's been gorgeous out lately....which makes me really nervous for winter. Burning energy outdoors is amazing.

Everleigh dancing (where she shouldn't be) to Daddy's music.

Oooh, Oooh, Ahh, Ahh...Monkey alert.

Thanks for checking in. Until next week...
