bikes n stuff

I didn't plan on not updating the blog last Sunday, but then Hudson and I made a quick trip to the ER, because after days of what I thought were allergies, the poor guy looked like this...
The doc told me it was pink eye. Pink eye? I just came to the ER for pink eye?!?! I hardly EVER take my kids to the doctor, like never...and then I go to the ER for pink eye??! She did tell me it was a terrible case, but still. So we've been doing meds for the past 8 days, and (cross our fingers) nobody else has gotten it. The bad news, I really do think he's severely suffering from allergies, as his eyes still look really bad.
He had a late night rootbeer float when we got home that night.... poor honey. Know what else is sad? Hudson told me he loved being at the doctor with just his mommy. And then tonight, Madden asked if he could have alone time with me at the hospital. Sad! It's clear we have to schedule some (less expensive) alone time with the kids.

Last week we celebrated our babysitter Haley's high school graduation. I don't understand why she would think that becoming a chiropractor is better than our summer babysitting gig, but whatever. :) Congrats, Hales. We are so lucky to have you...and we are so proud of you!

Haley and her two older sisters have all done lots of babysitting for us. Emily (on the far right) started sitting for Paisley when she was just 6 months old. Haley, Carly and Emily will always have a special place in our hearts for treating our children so well and loving them up like only we could. They are all such beautiful women (inside and out) and our family is blessed to have them in our life!

Last week was also special for us, as Miss P had Kindergarten orientation. Whoop Whoop. Little colicky, spikey haired Paisley is heading off to K in the fall. She was able to meet the Kindergarten teachers and do an art activity. We're looking forward to learning who her teacher will be! And this momma is going to have to get her cry on before the 'real' big day because I've already been tearing up. Not really because I'm sad...just because time has gone so fast, and I'm so proud, and because she's so exited.

Last week I took the kids to watch Cambree play ball. She's so fun to watch!

Cousins are the best...

So you've seen pictures before of the kiddos watching the marching band practice near our house. They love every minute of it. Well, as we were having a garage sale (and the kids were at grandmas), the marching band came to our house! They brought suckers and balloons! How sweet! And since then, they've stopped by with recorders and hats too! I don't think these middle school students have any idea how much they mean to our children!

A few randoms from hangin' outside...

The kids had a sleepover and Grandma's house while Craig and I went to a wedding! They had so much fun, and so did we. :)

See this big girl?

She learned a pretty cool trick this weekend....

That's right! Miss P can finally ride with no training wheels!! She's SO proud of herself, as she should be! She's doing amazing and having so much fun riding up and down the sidewalks, and going around and around the nearby track.
Of course, in the beginning, there was a bit of this....

But now, more of this!

While Paisley zipped around the track, the rest of us made our own fun...

Today, we attended the Memorial Day parade...

Lots of marching as they watched "their" band.

One quick story, with no pics to go with it. Last night, Paisley had a sleep over with Kyah and Cams. I tucked the three littles in to bed, and about 15 minutes later, I could hear Madden making lots of noise upstairs. (he does this a lot!) I went up, opened the boys door, and Madden was sound asleep and Hudson was almost. Hmmm. Paisley was gone, but confused, I checked their room anyway. Nope, no Everleigh. Where was she? She was in the bathroom with every hair pretty and rubber band we own, doing her baby's hair in the sink. Little stinker. So cute. (and sorry for blaming you, Mad Mike. :) )

Enjoy your week....talk to y'all next Sunday!
