Happy 2nd Birthday, Everleigh Calla!

Today little Everleigh Calla turns two years old.

We celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Several months ago I asked Everleigh what kind of party she wanted. I thought maybe she'd say Dora, Princess, Tinkerbell....but Evers was adamant that she wanted a candy birthday. So that's what she had. (and I'm totally okay with a character-free birthday. In fact, I love it.)

It's her party, she can be a grumpy princess if she wants to...

I took the day off to be with Ever on her special day. Every time I say, "Everleigh, it's your birthday!!" she says, "NO! It's your birthday!" :)
She opened some gifts from us, and has been playing with her babies all day. Her favorite thing to do.

Everleigh loves: babies, snuggling, reading books, the cozy coupe, swinging, and her blanky.

She loves to eat: pickles, apples, green beans, Cheetos, asparagus, ice cream, kale, and bananas.

Three words to describe Ev: spunky, sweet, sassy.

Everleigh has an incredible vocabulary. She talks in full sentences, sings songs and carries on a conversation just like her brothers. Some of her favorite things to say are:
"Come here, I need to show you something."
"I want to snuggle with you on the couch, mommy/daddy."
"Madden pushed me down."
"I want to look at pictures on your phone."

Everleigh can sing her ABC's, count to 20 (sometimes to 29), walk up and down the stairs appropriately, climb a ladder, tell us when she has to go potty, scribble, and keep up with the big kids!

Typically Everleigh goes to bed around 7:30. She loves to sing and talk to her babies in bed for a while before she falls asleep. Most of the time, she sleeps until about 7:00 the next morning. Although many times she cries out or still needs us for something in the middle of the night. She takes one nap a day from about 12:45-2:45.

Everleigh Calla is quick to tell you she loves you, use her manners and in the next second, hit you over the head. She has a sense of humor, is so sweet, and our life wouldn't be the same without her. I thank God every day that this little miracle was sent to us.
