Summer Lovin'

Spending evenings outside, getting dirty, swinging, having races, going on bike rides. Ah, we are lovin summer, for sure.

These two cuties are inseparable. And although they are very different, they play so well together.

So here is a prime example of one of their differences.

I heard a few noises during nap one day so I went in their room.

This is how I found Hudson.

And this is how I found Madden

A different day, I swear I had just been in their room. Walked back in...and here's Hudson's bed and side of the room...

And Madden's...

Sometimes I think that when they are adults, I'm going to have this huge reward coming to me. One of them is going to become some professional athlete and I'm going to lay on the beach doing nothing. And then I snap out of my dream and realize that yup...I'm livin the dream. Although my patience runs really thin, and it sometimes feels more like a nightmare...I really am so lucky. And look at all the stories I have to tell. Ah, twin toddlers. I can't wait to share my twin teenager stories....

Last week we celebrated lots...and this week...a first! Hudson and Madden went to the movie theatre for their very first time!

Even with 5 or 6 (I lost count) trips to the bathroom, and $27 for popcorn, pop and licorice, I would say it was a success. Madden got pretty restless, but that was expected. Over all, they used their whisper voices and did a great job. And the best part...the movie. Monsters University was great.

Otherwise this week we just hung outside, played, and did a little bon-firing with family and friends.

(This was their stage--as you can see, Paisley and RyLee are dancing...and Hudson was playing the drums)

Well...an exciting week coming up celebrating some birthdays and the fourth. I love watching the kids get so excited over fireworks!
Enjoy your week and check back next Sunday!

XO,
Brook
