FALL

Who loves fall? We do!

Who loves weapons? I don't.
Who loves weapons? The kids and their father do. So because they are into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Craig made them some weapons. I hate them. But they love them. And I guess that's all that matters. Until the millisecond that someone gets hurt.

What's fall without chili? And when you're two, it's not in your (or your parent's) best interest to eat chili with your shirt on.

Football also = fall. Paisley and I went to watch my Godson Seth play. He's 11, so he wasn't too excited about a picture. :)

While I watched Seth, Paisley and my other Godson Josh ran around and played hide and seek.

Fall also means volleyball season. Paisley and I went to watch my cousin Vanessa play an away game that was just 25 minutes from our house. She did great, and it was super fun to watch.

Fall also means hot tub season!
 And beautiful, amazing sunsets.

And fall also means the pumpkin patch! I love everything about Halloween and the pumpkin patch is no exception. The Reiter's met us there too...so it was fun for the whole fam and for the besties too.

The corn was fun. I'm still picking it out of the washing machine.

An overly friendly goat.

I also have to say that for any of you who read the blog post about our visit to the farm--- knowing the pumpkin patch had a little petting zoo, Madden and I made a plan. I would squeeze his hand and hug him, and he would burry his face in me, but no screaming (because it's like a panic stricken, blood curdling scream). I promised he didn't have to look or touch them, but that he had to stay by us. Minus one accidental look at a peacock, he did fairly well. Some crying, some "HOLD ME MOMMY!" but overall, we both survived. I feel confident that by the time he's 20, he won't have a panic attack near farm animals anymore.

Lots of hay, slides, tractors and absolutely beautiful trees.

A corn maze can be really fun. Unless two of your children run way ahead of you and you have no clue where they are so you just start yelling like a crazy lady, "Where are you two?! Follow my voice! You have to stay by us!" When you're as outnumbered as we are, the simplest things become complicated.

Who loves fall? We do!

I love that while the kids are at Courtney's, they do such fun things. This week they went to music and movement classes, a drums class, painted and played in the sweet playhouse.

The kids think it's so fun to take a (very slow) ride on uncle Larry's wheelchair. And when it's one person's turn, the others all follow behind like little ducklings.

It's fall, which also means that Craig and I celebrated our Golden Anniversary, if there is such a thing. 9 years. Crazy how much has changed.

This is us. 17 1/2 years ago. We were such babies.

Making time for us is hard. The kids seriously don't let us talk. We have limited time and a limited budget. With each year that comes we hope for more time, and know that one day soon it will just be us again. The house will be quiet, and we'll miss it. (I think. :) ) But for now, we do our best and enjoy the four best blessings of our marriage.
