"I'm bored" said no one ever at the Berg household. Okay, I take that back. "I'm bored" said no parent of the Berg kids ever, like never ever. For real, life with four little kids and a dog make for one long blog post about the everyday nothings that make life so hectic.
So once again, we had a snow storm. Like a major one. See.
This is unofficially the 575th snow storm of the year. Well it feels like it at least. So when Paisley slipped in the shower just before bed and I saw blood running down her neck I thought, okay, if I have to drive her to the ER in this snow storm this is going to suck. And it did.
Below is the least gory picture I could get....some of our readers have very weak stomachs. :) Here she is before...
The poor honey did really well. She (and I, thank you very much) stayed very calm as we drove, 10 mph the entire way to the ER.
And 8 stiches later, she's all better!
Meanwhile, as I'm sitting with Paisley at the ER, I get a text from Craig. "Hudson puked." For real? Are you kidding me? One in the ER, one in a pukin' rally? I mean really, why not?
(and as the week progressed, all of us except Craig got the flu)
5 days after the shower incident, Paisley went to get stitches removed. That my friend is not fun. It was way worse than getting the stiches. Says the one bedside holding her little hand.
They decided to then put steri strips on just for good measure.
I can honestly say that I never thought Miss P would be the first one with stitches. I would have called Madden all the way on that one. But those darn showers... slippery when wet.
As the cold and snow continued on and on and on, we hunkered down inside and played. One day is was warm enough to get outside for about 30 minutes, that's it.
One of Madden's go-to toys, a puzzle. He's really good.
When we went outside, we 'colored' the snow. It kind of looks like blood and pee. Oh well, the kids didn't mind.
Look how tall our snow banks are. The kids are like legit to the roof of our porch. It's crazy how much snow (and ice!) we have.
This little guy is basking in the little sun we've had.
And this little guy is dreaming of spring, sleeping with his skateboard and all.
Last weekend Grandma Bonnie took the kids...and they all got a treat. Thanks, Grandma! I promise Madden is grateful even though he's being a stinker for the photo.
Random pic of the boys while waiting for Paisley at dance.
Yesterday we met Elliot (and her grandma) at the Children's Museum. We also met about 500 other children there too. Wowzas it was busy.
Madden absolutely loved milking the cows. Maybe, just maybe he's ready to venture to see a real one again some time soon.
Oh....and we are thinking about moving. Somewhere warm. Warmer anyway. Actually, that's just me... I think Craig can handle the winter. Me, I sit with a space heater every second I can. I'm not an outdoorsy winter loving gal. Especially when it's like the suckiest winter ever. See.
It's not fun. Not one bit.
BUT, you know what is apparently fun?? Sink baths when you're four!! :)
I wish I would have put the kids in the opposite sink so they would have matched this picture from when they were 7 months old, but either way...I think it's super cute.
I'm really thankful for the helpers in our life. We couldn't do it without them. This week, I realize just how thankful I am....as every single one of our regular helpers is out of town....and so is Craig...for TWO weeks. Lucky for me, a couple people stepped up to help us out (thank you!!). It will be an interesting two weeks as a single mama. I may or may not have purchased a bottle of wine of which I am sipping riiiiiigggghhhhttt nnnooooowww.
Thanks for tuning in...and thanks for thinking that our everyday nothings are interesting enough to come back to each week.
