Celebrating a perfect stop.
Notice Madden is on the red team, as goalie. He's more interested in playing in the net.
But we are celebrating a blocked goal! The only one of the game.
Hudson was goalie for a while too. This is as much action as he saw...
This week we celebrated a 5th grade graduation. How is it that our little Makyah Grace is now a middle schooler?! We are so proud of her...she's an amazing young lady!
Not only did someone graduate from 5th grade, but the oldest Bergie Bunch kiddo made it through Kindergarten! Whoo hoo!! Paisley grew up so much in just one year, I can't even fathom how fast the next 12 years will go.
Her last day of school! Time to celebrate!
The last day was celebrated by an all-school carnival. Being new to this having a child in school business, I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to volunteer throughout the year. I did what I could, and was happy to be able to help put the carnival together and volunteer the day of. I thought I'd have more time to watch Paisley, but I had a gazillion kids in line for popcorn. I got really good at making and scooping popcorn let me tell you.
I did get to snap a few pictures though...
Taylor, Paisley, Ms Pherson and Hailee
When I say we lucked out with an amazing teacher, that's an understatement. Ms Pherson was an excellent kindergarten teacher. We could not have asked for more. We will miss her tremendously. I mean, Paisley can go visit her....but I'll miss her too!
A last walk through her classroom. Mrs. Conaway and First grade, here she comes!
We are definitely celebrating so many accomplishments Paisley had throughout the year. This week, Paisley even left me this note. She's so thoughtful, and pretty darn good at writing if you ask me. Love her.
For several months now, Everleigh has been asking to be in dance class. The day finally arrived...she was starting dance!
The only problem? She wanted to go with Paisley to dance...and there aren't classes at Danz Kraze for Everleigh's age. So when my mom came to take Paisley to dance, and we weren't going with....she was not going to dance. She ripped off her leorard. She ripped off her shoes. She ripped out her hair. She wasn't doing to dance.
She refused to put a name tag on. She refused to talk to the teacher. She refused to do anything, except the opposite of what she should do.
After participating myself for a while (I must have looked awesome), she finally went with the group, kind of.
She did a couple of arm moves, but with a terribly grumpy look on her face.
We finished the class. It was a long 50 minutes. When I said, I'm sure next week you'll feel more comfortable and listen to the teacher she said, "I am not goin to dance."
What am I celebrating? A cute, sassy, almost three year old who is giving me all new experiences as a mom. #thankgodshestheonlyonewhodoesthis #knockonwood
Keeping with the 'don't look at me, I'm going to be shy and look grumpy' theme, we celebrated Everleigh's third birthday!! She turns three this week, and just like she wanted...she had a 'baby' birthday party.
We are celebrating Everleigh Calla's birthday! Love her to pieces!
(her actual birthday post will be next week)
More celebrating. Yes, I'm serious! It was a busy week!
This week, Craig's Grandma Marian turned 95! We love her to the moon and back. She's so special to us. Happy Birthday, Grandma!
And....Father's day.
This morning the kids made a scavenger hunt, hiding presents with clues all around the house. First up though, breakfast in bed. Paisley was pumped to wear this old t-shirt of mine (I know, I know) to bed, so she would have it on for Father's Day.
Later, we went to Craig's parents to celebrate.
I wanted to get a picture. I remember last year I got a super cute one, and it's framed in my office. This year, I am not celebrating this fabulous photo op.
Hudson pushed Madden down the slide, so Madden was upset and refusing to cooperate.
Paisley wanted to sit on Craig's shoulders and he didn't want her to. So she was refusing to be in the picture.
And the other two sat with Daddy. So this is what we got. Nice, huh. It kind of makes the kids sound like brats. It's been a long week. For everyone.
Picture or not, our kids are seriously lucky. Craig is a great dad. He is super involved, fun, caring and just a great father. He makes awesome puppet shadows, pitches a mean ball, makes a great horsey to ride on, and always give them treats. Ahem. :)
Other great guys in our life... Grandpa, Dave, Craig & Cal
Craig and his Dad...Someone who would give you the shirt off your back, even if you didn't need it...and who would tell a tall tale bigger than you can imagine. He's one of a kind, and one of the best. We love you!
Whew. Celebrate good times, come on!
I promised you a "cheers" with a glass of wine or a beer--- I'm sitting here with flavored water. Is that good enough? I survived the week. Let's celebrate that.
Tune in next week to see how much our baby has grown!
~Brook
