Baby E, Our Miss Everleigh Calla is THREE!
June 17, 2011 this blessing entered our world.
On Everleigh's birthday we celebrated her special day by opening gifts, then heading to Como Zoo for the day. (those pictures will be in a separate post, probably tomorrow).
When we got home, the kids bathed and then tried out Ev's new swing.
She loves:
Swinging.
Playing with her babies. She always has a baby attached to her hip, or her stroller. She's a very good little mommy.
Cleaning. She always wants to fold clothes, do dishes, etc.
Wearing sunglasses and hats.
Singing. She knows the words to like every song...songs we hear just once. If anyone will have a singing career, it will be Evers.
Reading books.
Playing outside. Often, the big kids will come in, but Everleigh just plays outside alone.
Doing hair.
Everleigh loves to eat: toast, raspberries, cucumbers, ice cream, mac n cheese, tatortot hotdish, and green beans.
What I hope we always remember about Everleigh as a three year old:
She always has to do "One two skip a few, 99, 100" and then "You are snug as a bug in a rug" at bedtime. Always.
She is super independent--will not accept help with clothes or shoes.
She counts to 20, writes 'EV' and is a master at the scissors.
She still loves to be carried up and down the stairs.
She turns real words into silly words...always cracking a joke.
Ev is a good napper--but gets out of bed way too many times at bedtime.
Her vocabulary has always been, and is still, through the roof.
She learns too many things from her brothers, and not enough from her sister.
She gives the best tight squeezes and puckered up kisses.
Three came really quickly. She just looks so old.
Happy Birthday, Everleigh Calla. You are my sunshine....
(this is such a typical Evers look)
Even though Everleigh is three...there is one thing I just cannot let happen yet. A hair cut. Since Everleigh's hair started coming in, she's had this one spiral curl. No matter what her hair looks like, this one curl sticks together and is longer than the rest. I think I'm attached to it. It's just 'Evers' to me.
LOVE you, baby girl.
Check back tomorrow or mid-week for pictures from our week.
