flower girl

Over the last two weeks, I've forced myself to put down the camera more often. For someone who posts pictures on a blog, that doesn't really make sense. But for a mom of four whose children need her, it does.
Last week, instead of taking pictures of the kids playing 'pig in the middle' and catch, I played too. Instead of taking pictures of them on the slide, I poked my head from under it to scare them. It leaves me with less pictures, but more of what the kids and I will remember.
I'm going to try to snap a few photos, then put the camera inside and focus. Focus on my babes. They are growing too quickly...and I need to just be.

While Craig worked, I took the kids to the beach. They listened perfectly and we had so much fun! Craig sent me the link to THIS POST one day. Our time at the beach is better because of it.

The twins participated had their last sports sampler class last week. The session isn't actually over yet, but they have to miss the last day because swimming lessons starts. I won't even begin to tell you how difficult scheduling their activities is...so this was as good as we could do.
Anyway, this particular day, their child care provider had taken them to the beach...so they were super tired...which meant "I lost 2 energies" (Madden) and they did not want to participate. They spent the first 20 minutes of class doing the opposite of what they should.

Luckily, I'm an experienced mom. I went out on the court and asked them why they weren't listening. When Madden said he lost his 2 energies and couldn't walk, I said...yah, you probably couldn't beat me in a race to the net right? So me, in my high heals and dress pants...raced the boys. They won. And they happily participated the rest of the class. Whew.

They had the same two teachers for their ABC Sports session and the Sports Sampler session. Thanks, Ellen and Mija!

This weekend was a weekend we've been waiting in high anticipation for. My cousin, Lane got married! He and Alyssa had asked Paisley back in February to be the flower girl. For the last 5 months, that's all Paisley's talked about. It was a perfect day for the perfect couple, accompanied by the perfect flower girl.

She joined the bridal party in getting their hair done. They had even gotten her a shirt to match theirs. So nice...and Miss P was in heaven!!

(I realize I am missing a child. He was uncooperative. A little more than Hudders)

The bridal party! Congrats, Lane and Alyssa! We love you!

Sometimes, the out-takes are the best. Here is my grandma, with her kids. And a sweet photo bomb from Paisley. We did get a nice one of them, but this one just seemed better. Imagine them all laughing. If you know us, you might be plugging your ears.

It's so fun...I was the flower girl in Mary and Larry's wedding, 29 years ago. It's pretty special that Paisley was the flower girl for their son. Here she is with her God Parents...
The kids sat perfectly in church. Not a peep.
And then they let loose while we took pictures.

 The grand March...

The Bergie Bunch.

(It's pretty clear my kids really look like Craig. Except Hudson. This is a Brook Cheese-face if I've ever seen one)

The dance was so fun! I was really excited to dance with Paisley, but then....she ditched me. Like the entire night. Seriously...she'd only dance with the bridal party!! Alyssa's bridesmaids were so good to Miss P and took her under their wing all night.

Grandma Bonnie came to get the kids so Craig and I could stay all night. They were ready.

Such a fun day. Congrats again, L&A!
Paisley's motto of the day rubbed off on me. But first. Let me take a selfie.

Before the wedding... then Grandma and I at the church...and she totally called Craig out on his photo bomb. I love that she knew what a photo bomb was! Then Aunt Teria and cousin Olivia and I...maybe being over served....and last, mom, auntie and I...clearly at the end of the night.
