girly stuff

This week, I kinda forgot to take pictures of the boys. As I was uploading, all I see is P, then E, then more E, then P. Ooops.

All of the kids started swimming lessons this week. They go four nights a week for two weeks. We spend about two and a half hours hanging at the pool in the evenings. It made for a fast week with few pictures. Craig did snap one...

Can I just say how excited I am that this session is our last parent-tot swim session....ever! I'm quite positive I could teach the classes. I know their every move.

But the second day of swimming...Ev missed. She came down with the flu (?) and was terribly sick for about 18 hours. She was miserable. I felt so bad for her. Thankfully (knock on wood), nobody else got sick.

Another big milestone for the Bergie Bunch.....
(sorry for the bloody pic)
Miss P lost her tooth! She had been working on it and just as we pulled out of the driveway on our way to day care, she pulled it out herself! We turned around, ran inside, took a pic, and left the tooth at home. She was SO excited.
And of course, the next morning, she realized that the tooth fairy had come!

Baby E had her dance recital this week. Such exciting stuff, right? We bought her flowers (just like big sissy gets) and a Sophia the First balloon. She had a titch of makeup on, a big tutu and her relatives were there to watch.

She warmed up with her class...

And when it was time for her big debut......

She ran as fast as she could for my lap.

And there she sat, watching her friends do a ballet and a jazz routine. I tried to bribe her. I told her I wouldn't watch. I gave her kisses and tried to send her out there.

But there she sat. Pouting. Refusing to dance.
I'm not really surprised. I was hopeful she'd prove me wrong...but oh well. She's three. And she's Everleigh Calla. She kinda does things the way she wants. And that's okay.

This weekend was my 5, I mean 10. Crap. 15 year class reunion. That meant that my very best friends and I would have an entire weekend together. Yay! We boated, spent time with our kids, had a few beverages, laughed and laughed and laughed. I will never be able to describe the bond we all have.
(The "big" kids of the bunch. Brayden, Ever, Hudson, Madden, Elliot, Paisley, Evelyn, Layla.)

Girly stuff is fun, but next week, I'll try to actually capture what the boys are up to as well. :)
