Oscar turns ten

Our baby boy turned ten this week. That's right. Our dirt digging, couch licking, snuggling, bed stealing Oscar turned 10. I remember the day we picked him up like it was yesterday. I really hope the next few years are as happy for him as the first ten.
Remember when he would steal Cambree's nuks? And then Paisley's?

Love you, Oscar Miller!

The morning of his birthday the kids gave him two gifts. One thing we know to be true about Oscar is that he loves to rip up wrapping and tissue paper. Which means he loved getting his gifts almost as much as the actual gift. Kinda like a kid and a box, you know.

This weekend Craig had his fantasy football draft and golfing day with his friends. I took the kids up to Weyerhaeuser to see my family and enjoy the town's festival. It started with a rip-roaring ride with Great Grandma Wanda in this atv thingy.
Then continued with a parade.

Face painting--which included standing in line three different times with Everleigh, and each time as soon as it was her turn, she decided against it. Good Lord. We ended up with a peace sign, turtle an horse.

Let me tell you, it's an awesome day when your household has all pumpers! We've spent a lot of hours pushing kids on the swings. But now...we can watch! Unless you trick Aunt Mary into pushing you...that works too.

The kids asked to go on the round-a-bout. I was like, huh?! And then I realized they meant the merry-go-round. Ah...yes...spin away. And they did...for a long time.

It was a fun end to the Labor Day weekend.
Tomorrow is the beginning of a new school year. This means life is even more jam packed than we thought was possible. A time when the children grow so much, become more independent and figure out who they are. It's so great and so sad all at the same time. This week we send Miss P off to First grade with Mrs. Conaway. Next week, we will send the boys off to 4K with Miss Tiffany. It's going to be exciting and challenging all at the same time.
Check back next Sunday to see Paisley off to school!

Good night. :)
