Tuesday was sign-in day. Just the two of us went to school, met her teacher, got all of her supplies put away and got everything ready for the new year.
Paisley's teacher is Mrs. Conaway. When we got to school and saw Ms Pherson, her Kindergarten teacher, watching them hug made me cry. I was holding back tears like a crazy lady. Kindergarten was fabulous, and I have no doubt Mrs. Conaway will be just as special.
She's so my child. When she found out she had a desk this year, and wait for it.... it opened...she could not wait to organize her supplies just so in her desk. Apparently there is a desk fairy that brings treats to those who keep their desk really clean, and she's already waiting for that fairy dust to arrive.
Wednesday was the actual first full day of first grade. Without help in the mornings, I was a nervous wreck to get everyone ready with full bellies and have time for pictures and stuff too. Luckily, all went well and we were to school in plenty of time.
Paisley's still going to be a fashion designer when she grows up. Sometimes when we pick out clothes in the morning she gets so annoyed with me as I try to help and lets out a big sigh stating, "Ugh. Mom. I know! I am going to be a fashion designer you know. I know what looks good and what doesn't." Umm, okay then.
As we pulled up to school, Paisley was a little nervous. But then my girl said, "Hey Mom--But first, let me take a selfie." And so we did.
As soon as we got there, she was off with her friends.
When it was time to go, I got a big hug and kiss (yes!) and she was on her way.
And there she went. I didn't cry either. That was huge.
She had a great first week of first grade!
First grade means homework. Every night.
So far, she says homework is boring because it's too easy. And for now, I'll take it. Because I know that won't last long.
Totally annoyed with the picture taking.
The littles were alive this week too. Here they are eating breakfast before day care one day. :)
First.....night of dance! She's in the Mini group again this year with Kindergartners and First graders. Her two best dance buddies are with her again, which is fun.
The beginning of a new dance season is really exciting. This picture is posted at her studio. I just love it.

This weekend, some of my best friends and our families got together. The kids ran and jumped and played, and we talked.
We decided not to make the husbands get in the picture. Mine was annoyed enough that he had to take this one.
So First grade drop off went really well. Tomorrow, our baby boys will head to 4K. I'm scared. I hope they do okay. They will be in the same class...so they'll have each other. But....sigh....it's hard. They are my least independent children. I'm sure it will go just fine. Right?
When you're about to head to 4k, you need a fresh new do to go with your fresh attitude, right?
Aunt Mary came over to spiff up the boys.
And the best part about it?! Uncle Larry got to come with! Larry's been living at a Vent Center since his ALS progressed so he hasn't been able to come over when the rest of the family does. But today, he took a field trip. :)
It was a really fun and really busy week. I look forward to posting pictures of the twins next week and reporting back on how
See you then!
