A day in the life

I decided that I wanted to pick one day and take pictures of everything we did that day. A day in our life.
Thursday, January 22. It was a daddy stay home day, so I figured we could get a good picture (no pun intended) of what we do in the day.
On daddy stay home days, I only have to get Paisley up and ready. It's glorious.
But 99.8% of the time, the kids still hang with me while I get ready. Everleigh almost always sits on the counter and asks for lip gloss and powder. Then she makes funny faces at herself and sings. Thursday morning, she was a crabby-pants though.

I get the kids breakfast. Don't yell at me...but 9 times out of 10, they eat waffles with peanut butter and nutella.

Then Paisley gets ready to head out for school. And then she blows her nose. I'll only put this in once, but the child is always in this position. Poor thing. Nope, she's not sick. Just allergies. The good news? The first week in February she starts her allergy shots. Fingers crossed for some relief.

I drop miss P at school, while the little kids and Craig are home for the morning.

When I left, I told Craig---now please don't forget to take pictures of what you guys do today. Especially get pictures of Madden on the wii (because I knew he would be) and dropping them off at school.

I went to work.

Guess what the next picture we have is? Me picking the boys up at school. He didn't take one single picture. None. He gets an F for the day.
So here we are...jump to 4:30 pm.

When I get home from work, I start supper while the kids play.

We quick eat, and because it's Thursday night, Paisley has dance.

It seems fitting, because she's loosing teeth like crazy lately, but right during the middle of dance, she pulls her tooth out! (she lost two this week alone)

When Miss P and I get home, I yell at everyone to go potty, get pajamas on, get water, clean up....basically I'm a nag, while Craig riles them up by chasing them and scaring them.

I pack lunches, check homework, sign the folder, and listen to Paisley read.

Our very independent, three year old throws some type of fit. Always.
And we head up for bed...
And tuck the kiddos in :)
I was hoping to get a detailed 'day in the life of us'--but holy, it's hard!

A few things that aren't so typical in our daily routine...

We went to see Paddington in the theatre--Everleigh's first time!! Whoo hoo!
She did great. Only one potty break, and she sat through pretty much the whole thing.

Grandma Brenda came with too; the kids were super excited. The whole ride to the theatre they chanted, "Madden's girlfriend is going too!"

And with WI winters, it's not often we can play outside, but yay...mild enough temps means we could!

So, that's about it for this week. Thanks for checking in.
