Winter means we are trying to find things to do indoors when 2 of the 4 gravitate immediately to some time of digital device.
It also means that illness enters the house. And knock on wood, this time it only lasted a day, and hasn't run through all of the kids...yet.
And sometimes, you just let them. Because they love it, and you don't have the energy to fight it.
While I was working at a dance competition and celebrating at a bridal shower/bachelorette party, the kids went to Action City....and the boys to their very first friend birthday party.
In anticipation for the Packer game today, Paisley spent the morning calling everyone she knew who likes football for a poll she decided to do. Do you think the Packers will win, lose or maybe (unsure)? After she was finished, we turned her poll into a math lesson. Thanks to those who participated. She was so anxious to hear what everyone said.
** The best part was totally when she called Great Grandma Marian (95 years old) and said, "Hi Grandma, this is Paisley. I'm doing a poll, do you think the packers will win, lose, or maybe?" And Grandma said, "Oh that's nice, did you have fun there?" haha...Paisley giggled and giggled. But then, hey...GG Marian was right on with her answer...once I explained what she was doing again. :)
Unfortunately, Grandma Marian, Oliver (our elf on the shelf) and I were right. We lost.
Until next week....
XOXO,
B
