Bath time fun

Wow, what a week it was!! I AM ONE YEAR OLD!! Whoo Hoo!! I know what you're thinking, time has gone so fast and you can't even believe how big I am. Well, believe it! Because yours truly is not a baby anymore! Nope. I know how to walk. I don't have a bottle. I am learning to talk. See, all things that of a...big girl!
Christmas was very fun! Oh, Merry Christmas by the way. I'm sorry I got so wrapped up in celebrating my birthday (I'm ONE, did you hear????!!!) that I forgot to wish you all a merry christmas! I hope yours was as fun as mine! Now...this is what I did...
Christmas Eve morning, Grandma and Grandpa Moe came over, and boy was that fun! I got the coolest musical instruments and I have been obsessed with the drum sticks ever since!! I bang them on the drum...but also on the dog, my parents, the stove (that one makes a cool noise!), the toilet seat (I know, eww!) and lots of other fun things!! That evening we went to my great aunt Mary's (and uncle Larry too! :) ) to celebrate with mommy's side. I loved showing off to everyone--there aren't any other little kids there, so I get allllll the attention, just how I like it! My cousin Alexis showed me how to maneuver the stairs, up and down a million times! I wore her right out! I also played with lots of my toys there--the parachute and little people busy day home were big hits! It was an exhausting day and night, especially so without a nap (ahhh) and I slept the whole way home!
The next morning....the best morning....my Birthday and Christmas day!!! My parents say I am so blessed to share my birthday with the most important person...and I think so too!! My mom and dad sang to me. My mom cried. I just don't understand her. She wants me to do all of these big girl things, and then cries about it. Geez! I was able to open presents from Santa...I even got my own table and chairs!!! Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Berg's for more festivities! You should have seen the place, we couldn't even walk there were so many presents and kids and presents and presents!! :) By that time, I mostly let my mom open my presents because I just wanted to start playing with some of them. And some of cousin Cody's too!! In the evening, we went home and we got to have our birthday celebration! By the end of the night, I was so pooped. This is hard work, being ONE!
Saturday I was able to have family over for my party!! I had fun running around the basement with everyone, and once again, being the glamour girl for the day! I got so many wonderful and thoughtful gifts from everyone, THANK YOU!!!! I have to say, so far my favorite is my polka dot chair from grandma Brenda and grandpa Mike. I crawl up and down, fall out (on purpose), climb up the back and I love to bring all my toys into it to sit and play!! And...you'll never believe this, but my dad baked me my own cake!! (there is a reason my dad cooked it!!!) I got to eat the whole thing, all by myself! Everyone sang to me, and I just looked around and smiled. The frosting was deeeelish! The cake, uh, not so much. I ended up tossing a lot of it on the floor. I thought Oscie might want a bite too.

Overall, it was a wonderful week...full of celebration of my birth, and the birth of our savior. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends---it will be a week I'll never forget. Well...because I'll have this blog to remind me, duh!

I'm looking forward to sharing with all of you my new discoveries as a ONE YEAR OLD!!! Watch out mom and dad....I see trouble coming your way!!!! ah ha ha ha
Happy New Year everyone, talk to you in 2009!
Love you,
