Baby #4 is a......

What a week it's been. If I never have to relive this week, I will be so thankful. It is been one of the worst weeks of my life--especially as a working mom.

I'm going to try my best to give you the short of it, we aren't going to relive the week, remember?

It started with a stressful week at work. I am writing a really big grant, in which if we get it, it will support new programs to prevent child abuse and neglect in Eau Claire, Chippewa, Barron and Rusk counties. My goal was to have it to Fed Ex on Tuesday. Anyway...Monday was really really stressful at work. A terrible day. Tuesday was the worst. I was sick-- we were all fighting bad coughs, sore throats, and that day, I had a fever--- but had to work! Had to do a lot of work! Then, while I was at work, reviewing the grant, my mom called. She informed me that my great uncle, Bob had passed away. I just broke down. Uncle Bob lives on our street...I will really miss seeing him on a weekly basis! So there I was, sad, sick, with lots of work to do. When I finally got home that evening-- late-- I walked in to Craig cleaning up puke. Yup, Hudson was sick. The week went down hill from there. That night Craig had to be to work at 1:30am. Therefore, that left good ol' mom literally running from one crib to the other while both boys were throwing up about every 10-20 minutes. We used every single set of pajamas we had in the house...every blanket and every towel. It was horrible. By the end of the week, both Paisley and Craig had gotten it too. I've never done laundry in the middle of the night before, but this week I did! I had to miss my uncle's funeral because Craig was too sick to take care of the sick kids...and overall...the week kicked my butt. I felt terrible for Craig, and the kids. And so far, Sunday has been okay. Craig is still battling the illness...but so far so good for the kids. And me...I haven't gotten it...yet. I'm still trying to fight this sore throat, and when I get a few minutes for myself, I might make it to the clinic.

So...I'm done complaining. I know that there are worse things in life. But a stressful (I can't miss) work week, sick kids, sick husband, death in the family....and my mommy gone...just put me over the edge. I am so glad to start a new week!

Anyway.....

This week, Paisley started "school". At the end of her speech lessons with Michelle, she was starting to shut down when we would say "speech". So now...she gets to go play with a teacher at Locust Lane school Monday's and Wednesdays. To add to my stress last week--- I left work early to be with P on her first day of "school" (even though I knew I should stay at work)...and then the speech teacher FORGOT. I was soooo mad. So, Wednesday--- we went to school.

Paisley will have the same schedule each week-- listening (that's her listening to words above), a game, word cards, free choice, questions, story and listening again. Her teacher, Miss Jackie is very nice and I think it will be really good for Miss P to go to speech therapy twice a week now! Soon we will get those darn "d", "t" and "f" sounds down!

OH, and a few cute Paisleyisms....

1) "Mom, we need to get another Daddy." Why, Paisley? "Because we are having another baby and it needs a Daddy!"

2) "What in the world?!?!" (referring to a cake on the show, "Cake Boss")

3) "Mom, can we pleeeease go to chicken nuggets?" (meaning McDonald's)

As I already blabbed about...everyone was sick this week. This is pretty much what the house looked like. It was a mess around here.

Trying to get the boys something that would stick with them. J-e-l-l-o.
It also stuck to every inch of their clothes and bodies! :) And....Hudders. Just cute.

Thank you, G & G Berg for helping with the sick kiddos! And sorry, Grandpa, that you are now sick! Ooops!

BABY #4 UPDATE-- 21 weeks!

So, this week was the week! We had our ultra sound! We told Paisley a couple of months ago that she could go with us to see a picture of the baby. Right away, she insisted that she was also going to get a picture of her babies in her belly. (sometimes she has 6, sometimes 2, you never know) . So while I was getting my ultra sound, she begged to get one as well. And, the sweet ultra sound tech agreed. :) So, here is Paisley, getting her very first ultra sound.

Paisley said that she had 6 babies in there. She wasn't sure of the names yet. We told her that we saw a whole bunch of macaroni and cheese, pop tarts, chicken nuggets and milk! :) This is what we saw....

She is so proud of her "baby pics" and likes to show them to people! I'm just hoping it's about another 25 years before we see her actual baby pics!

Everything checked out just perfectly for baby Berg #4. There is something about already having 3 healthy babies that made me really nervous for the ultra sound. But, thankfully...all is well! Its heart beat was 144 and it weighs 10 ounces. As soon as we started, it was waving at us and we could see its arm and hands so clearly.

(The profile above. The nose looks really large, and pointy. Hmmm. In several of the pictures it looked like maybe we could even see some hair! :) )

(Baby foot!)

(And another profile picture)

So...I think that's about it. Healthy baby. Healthy mama. All is well.

WHAT?? Did you say something?? OHHH, you want to know what the gender is????

Okay....we are proud to announce that baby number four is a little GIRL! :)

When we found out, Craig literally jumped up and down and said, "I just want to hug somebody!" For a minute I thought he was going to try to hug the ultra sound tech! Even though we obviously just wanted a healthy baby...we both though a girl would even out the family just perfectly. So, it looks like Paisley will be sharing a room with baby girl...and that it's time to get shopping. YES! I totally despise boy clothing. Well, the stuff I can afford anyway. I will be very happy to shop for a girl again!

And at the harassment of my best friend (love you!) ....here is a baby belly picture. It's popping a bit--but obviously not like when I was pregnant with the twins! So there you have it, bestie. This baby will not have a complex because of the lack of belly pictures! :) Baby GIRL and are are feeling well!

In the midst of one healthy (kind of) day-- we headed up to the Life and Style Photography studio for the twins one year pictures. CRAZY! About one hour after we left, Jodee already had posted a picture of all three kids.....

Keep checking out her blog, or look for her on facebook to see Hudson and Madden's one year pictures, coming soon!

I'm going to try so very hard to keep a positive outlook on this week! Because, after last week, I can't do much else!

Thanks for checking in with the Bergs!
