Oh, B-O-Y!

If you know our family well, or just know us through the blog, you probably understand how boy-ish the twins are. Particularly Madden. To sum things up, before Madden was 1 year old, he ... fell out of the baby swing, fell out of the highchair, burned himself on the fireplace, fell down the stairs, fell off the bed, jumped out of his crib---do we sound like abusive or neglectful parents yet?! Probably! I am embarrassed to even admit all of the trouble the child has been in...and he is only 14 months old!
Well...the very first time that the kids were able to enjoy the backyard this year...and Madden tripped and smacked his nose right into the step of the deck. Poor thing. It's not surprising...this child is so rambunctious, wild, on the go and rough...that it's only inevitable that he is always hurt. I have a feeling it's going to be a long summer with this BOY!

Don't you worry, Hudson is the silent trouble maker. He LOVES throwing things away. One morning this week I found 3 sippy cups, a play phone and a book in the garbage. This week we will be shopping for a more kid-proof garbage. And let me tell you that this IS the kid-proof garbage we bought when we had Paisley. I'm thinking locks and chains are the only way to keep the twins out of stuff....they've mastered the toilet seat now too. So how do we get a lock for the toilet that they can't get into...but Paisley can?!?

Luckily, our boyish troubles have left the house and have been moved outside! Finally!! All of the kids absolutely love running and playing outside! Madden and Hudson discovered how to eat dirt and the remaining piles of snow--I have learned how non relaxing it is having twins near the road.

This week at dance, I watched Miss P through the window. She did awesome! I was a bit worried because she's been limping, and has even woken up crying about her leg hurting. I am thinking it's growing pains...but the poor thing! She participated in dance like it wasn't bothering her at all, so that's good.

This weekend, Paisley and I headed north of the cities to celebrate (and surprise) my friend Krista for her 30th Birthday. Paisley had so much fun running and playing with the millions of kids that were there, and I had fun catching up with old college friends!

The rest of the weekend we spent playing!

Baby Update: 31 weeks

The countdown is on. 9 weeks to go. Scaaaary! I saw my OB last week--the heart beat was 150 and I am measuring at 30 weeks. I talked to her about the pressure and pains I've been feeling--she said that I will feel more pressure than usual because my uterus didn't have time to "go back up".....so it's like I need suspenders for my uterus. NICE. What a beautiful picture! At least I know there is a reason for the feeling and that the baby isn't just going to fall out! :)

I was hoping to get through the week without being sick...but Saturday night I ended up being sick for several hours...lots and lots of throwing up...again. I'm so done with "morning sickness" or whatever this is!! Our baby has a first name, it's O S C A R-- okay, I had to. Anyway, our baby does have a first name. Nope...not telling you. You already know it's a girl...so the name is secret. :) But it feels really good to have that decided on! If you ask Paisley...which many of you have tried...she will tell you her name is Haley (after one of her favorite babysitters)--- the name is not Haley...and Paisley doesn't know the name for that exact reason! :)

Other than that...baby continues to move and move and everything else is moving along just fine.

Thanks for checking in...
