"While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about"

Our sweet little boys are 16 months old today! They are learning to say more words by the minute and each can say about 15-20 words including: milk, bite, bed, backpack, poptart, nuk, sock, butt, book and more! They never, ever stop running and make us smile from ear to ear.

Wow, WI weather this week. On Tuesday we were at 102 degrees...and by Thursday, back down in the 60's! But, while the weather was warm, we got out the kiddy pool and the kids splashed, drank and swam in the water!

And we can't forget our four legged friend. Most nights he sleeps with us, especially when I am pregnant. He's attached to me! But one night, he found himself a comfy little spot rolled up in the kids play tunnel. So cute!
This week was the kiddos last day at Londa's house...for the summer anyway. We will sure miss her over the summer! I think I sometimes take for granted how lucky we are to have Londa. I never worry...I know the kids are in the best hands and are having fun! Thank you for a wonderful year, Londa! We can't wait to really fill your household up next year with 4 Berg kids. Wow. Poor Londa!
So, one recent accomplishment of Paisley's has been buckling herself in her booster seat! It's been great. She sits way in the back of the van...so for me to try to get my big belly back there and buckle her was not fun. Anyway, about one month ago...she got it! So from then on...I hadn't really gone in the back of the van. This week, I did. And this is what I found......
Several "P"s, a few "Y"s and "L" or two...and some scribbling. NICE, huh?? So...Miss P got out the rags and began scrubbing. Unfortunately, it's not all gone yet. Tonight we were in the van and she said, "mom, my coloring is still here." I said, "I know...that wasn't a very good idea, was it? Now we can't get it off." And Paisley said, "yeah.....I didn't think." Well...at least she realizes it! :) It's one of those times when you want to laugh but can't!

On Saturday, Grandpa Mike picked Paisley up to help him throw candy in a parade!!! She got to sit in the front of his truck and throw candy, smile and wave to everyone in the parade. From what I hear, she had a blast! After the parade, she watched a softball game with Grandma Bonnie and Grandma Marian. (Craig was working and I was home with napping boys)
What a fun day spending time with grandparents!! And....we also need to wish Great Grandma Marian a very happy birthday....as tomorrow she will be 92!! We love you lots, Grandma! (And maybe this baby will decide to share your b-day?!?!)
Speaking of baby. She says hi. Apparently she's just not quite ready to come out yet. I know, I know....I'm not due for 3 more days! :) BUT.....we are seriously ready for her to come now. Everything is ready at home, I'm ready at work, Paisley is counting down, we have a house full of groceries for babysitters....and the best part..........
My thesis was approved!!!!!! I am done. Done. Done!!!!! I was so worried that the graduate school would make me revise something in my paper, but nope!!! This means that I now have my masters in Education....and ummm...I'm smarter?!?! :) No, what this really means is that for the past 2.5 years, I have been working on homework almost every single night when my kids went to sleep. And I don't have to do that anymore! This means that until I decide to go back to school again....I don't have to worry about homework!! AHHH..... SUCH a good feeling!!!

I do need to thank my girls at work for putting up with me through the process and to the Lokken's for lending out their basement office so I could write in peace! SEE--- NOW, I can have this baby!

BABY Update: 40 weeks.
On Wednesday, the 15th, I will technically be 40 weeks pregnant! My original due date was the 6th, so since then, I've been waiting and waiting....but nothing. At my last appointment, I was dilated to a 4!! Okay...it took me 27 hours of hard labor to get to a 4 with Paisley. Not this time. But, the bad news...not enough regular contractions to go with it. Which means here I sit, typing the blog on this Sunday night with 3 sleeping kids, 1 sleeping husband and a very active inside baby. Baby's head is lying on my cervix...so the pressure is unreal. I'm just hoping it turns into labor before I have to be induced. I have an ultra sound scheduled for the 16th if I need it....they will check babies weight, position, my uterus and everything to make sure all is okay. Of course, I'm hoping we never make it to that appointment...but you never know.

I sure hope this is my last post as a family of 5! Thank you to everyone who has been checking in on us and saying extra prayers!

I also have to say a quick "I love you"...to Craiger.....as today, we have been together for 15 years! Exactly half of my life!! Who would have ever thought that when Scott Wolfe was driving us home in his blazer...that we would be preparing for the birth of our fourth child exactly 15 years later....and still in love. (and we didn't name any of them Samuel or Walter :) )
Love,
Brook
