Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...

Houston, we've got a problem. Hudson and Madden have learned how to open doors. Those two now have access to pretty much everything. They've figured out the locks on the cabinets and drawers, know how to climb on to the counters, and now they know how to open doors. Dear Lord, can you hear me? Yes, it's me...again...yelling, HELP! Even though the twins are still into everything, life with them is getting a little easier. A little, friends, a little. They are understanding so much more, and using a lot of expressive language skills. It's not quite as frustrating, and now when we yell it's not because they don't understand, it's just because they aren't listening.

Madden has become completely and utterly obsessed with movies. I remember about 4 months ago, just after Everleigh was born I thought to myself, I just wish they (the twins) would sit down and watch tv, just for 10 minutes so I can go to the bathroom or feed Everleigh. Now-- I regret ever thinking that. From the minute Madden gets up until the minute he goes to sleep he wants the tv on. He's been carrying around this Elmo DVD case BEGGING to watch it. The bad news...he lost the actual movie. Can't find it anywhere. Poor thing just doesn't understand. He's slept with the movie case for three nights now. And of course, with Halloween upon us, we had to carve some pumpkins! (Or paint in Hudson and Madden's case. I don't even trust them near carving tools!)

Our baby isn't so babyish anymore. She's joining us in the high chair while we eat, and soon will be eating something herself! We are just switching to formula, so once her tummy has adjusted, we'll be scooping up some good ol' rice cereal!

And...she's a rolling machine. The stinker doesn't stay on her back at all anymore. The problem...she's not that fond of her tummy. She'll stay there for a short period of time, but then she lets us know that's not where she wants to be.

All of the kids had colds this week-- Hudson is still hanging on to his a bit. Nothing a few pounds of candy won't fix tomorrow though. It was Everleigh's first time having a little bug. No fun for anyone.

Sunday, Haley came to hang out. She was missing the kiddos, and we were missing her too! Paisley looks up to her so much...and honestly, if Paisley turns out anything like Haley we will be so proud!

And late tonight, Grandma Brenda came to the rescue. Many nights (mornings, really)...Craig has to be to work at 2am. Therefore, he has to get to bed early. I had groceries to buy, costumes to make, a party to prepare for, the blog to write, and still after all of that...a class to prepare for tomorrow. It was looking like I was going to head back to my college days and pull an all-nighter. And then...Grandma came to the costume rescue. What would I do without her? love you, mom! (and can you guess from the picture what Hudson's going to be?)

I'd like to congratulate my good friends Emily and Scott on a healthy baby girl, Layla Louise! I got to hold little miss Layla when she was just a day old...precious!! We are so happy for you guys! XOXO

Well...time to run. Not literally, but run on to the next task. I mean, really. Do you think I have time to exercise?!! Happy Halloween, everyone! Check back next week to see what the Berg FOUR dressed up as!
