Bergie Bunch Updates

The weather turned unseasonably nice, so we took advantage and played outside a ton.

I didn't really take any pictures this week. Hudson was sick all week, and other than that, we did our normal routine of hockey (banquet), dance, CCD, homework, reading, blah blah.

So, let's get an update on the Bergie Bunch kiddos.

 First up- Oscar Miller
  • Is 11 1/2 years old but reverting to toddler stage. He has started to chew up toys and paper that is left on the floor.
  • Is all the sudden in to begging for treats.
  • Can't jump off of the couch or bed anymore and has poor vision.
  • Is still great at snuggling and licking.
  • Loves laying in the sun and by my space heater.

Paisley Rian
  • Enjoying 2nd grade and exceling. She's in gifted and talented math, even though she claims to hate math.
  • Saved up enough of her own money to buy her very own iPad. She LOVES to face time people and to text me. Between auto correct and voice texting, many of her messages are pretty messed up.
  • She is very particular about keeping things neat and freaks out if Craig or I move her stuff.
  • She's on the Danz Kraze pink competition team and loves it. She's so fun to watch.
  • Her favorite book series are the Boxcar Children and Goosebumps at the moment.
  • She thinks of others and asks me a lot of questions about people who live very differently than us.
  • Paisley loves to be in charge. Of anyone and anything.
  • She enjoys cooking, coloring, building forts, watching Full (and Fuller) House, American Idol and playing 'mommy and baby' with her siblings.

Hudson Koehler
  • Enjoying Kindergarten and writing. He is very detailed in his drawing and writing and his penmanship is amazing.
  • He is obsessed with the color blue, hockey and baseball and will only wear clothing that has one of those three things. Well, once and while he'll wear a TMNT shirt. This causes many painful mornings between him and I.
  • Monchhchi is still his favorite thing in the world.
  • Hudson is slow to warm up and can be more cautious, although he is by far the one who will be sneaky and refuse to listen to directions.
  • Skating fast on his rollerblades around the house and yelling 'watch me do this trick' is what you would see Hudson doing the most of while at home.
  • His favorite author is Mo Willems and he also loves Pete the Cat books. He's becoming a great reader, which is so fun to see.
  • Hudson loves baseball and is looking forward to doing t-ball again this spring. He uses his pitching machine at home and loves playing catch with Craig.
  • He's a sweetie, loves to snuggle and is always hungry.

Madden Michael
  • Says that Kindergarten is boring, but is doing very well in school. He does not like writing (and that's clear in his penmanship) but loves reading and phy-ed. He also already talks about girls...a lot.
  • He is almost always a good listener. It's very rare that I need to discipline Madden. He's a pretty easy-going child.
  • His favorite authors are Mo Willems and Dr.Suess. He's getting to be a great reader and has gained a lot of confidence in the last 2 months with reading.
  • Mad Mike still loves his digital devices. He would play his Nintendo DS or play on someone's phone all day if we let him.
  • He is an early riser...always waking up around 6:30.
  • He loves hamburgers....without the bun. He just takes the patty and bites right in.
  • Hockey is his jam. He is pretty aggressive in getting the puck and celebrates (a lot!) when someone scores.
  • Madden is the messiest kid alive, I swear. He also might be the sweetest.

 Everleigh Calla
  • Our silly, jokester. This girl has a punch line for everything. It's also her coping mechanism when she's getting in trouble.
  • She loves playing outside and is anxious to play soccer again this year.
  • This girl takes about 1,000 selfies and videos of herself daily.
  • Everleigh likes routine for her clothes and her hair. She will only wear jeans and t-shirts and her hair in braided pigtails. It's a huge family ordeal to try to get her to look any different.
  • She is slow to warm up and doesn't like when people she doesn't know talk to her. She actually refused to go somewhere once because she was afraid someone would say hello to her.
  • She loves to play babies and restaurant; she is the dramatic play queen.
  • 4K has been great for Evers, even though she cries every single day when it's time to wake up. (I think it's the getting out of bed part she hates, not school). She has made friends, opened up and is rocking her letters, numbers and even some math.
  • Everleigh is hilarious, making us laugh and smile so much. She also gives the best tight squeezes.

I love that they are all so unique and in general, get along really well. Raising 4 kids so close together isn't easy, that's for sure. It is however, super entertaining and rewarding.
