Santa & Sledding

It's almost Christmas, so you know what that means. S-A-N-T-A.
We went to see Santa. Some of us liked it more than others.

H, M and E screamed. After a while of trying to convince them, I was able to hold each of them, but not too close, and they told Santa what they wanted. Such a traumatic experience us parents put those kiddos through...

Friday night, we got together with several other families for pizza, movies, and fun. The kids had a really great time...and so did we! Thanks, Em and J for hosting!

Because my bestie travels several several hours (yes, the trip deserves two severals. It's far. Especially in a car. With a baby) away for Xmas, we got together today! I wish pretty much every day that we lived closer. You don't understand. We literally spent like every second together before we got married and got like grown up jobs. We went from working at the same place, living in a dorm together...to living in different states. It's not fun. And now that bestie has a baby...it's even harder! Love this sweetie.

And luckily the guys were on hand to assemble new lego sets.

Looks like somebody has some catchin' up to do in the baby dept. :) Our kiddos...

Ev has been making this face all of the time. I just want to kiss those "choo choo train" lips.

And even though it was freezing out...we had to get the kids out of the house. It's only December and I'm already cussing at winter. The kids are fighting over everything and everyone. The lack of outside time is making this household cray cray. So...we spent 60 minutes getting the kids ready to go outside for 10 minutes. Well, not really. But that's how it felt!

This next picture. OH, this next picture. I was standing at the bottom snapping pics of the kids as they came down the hill. Here comes Everleigh!!! And then...Boom. A dead stop. The back of the sled came up and she totally face-plants in the snow. I couldn't hold back tears...of laughter. My body was limp, no noise was even coming out...it was SO funny. The poor thing...she just looked at me with a face full of snow and said, "mama, owie". She was okay, don't worry!!

Christmas Eve is tomorrow. The sad news about that...is that Oliver will be returning to Santa's workshop until next November. It's been soooo fun watching the kids wake up every day and go find him. I'm not so sure that they cared if he reported their bad behavior back to Santa...but nonetheless, it was a blast having him here. Paisley's already been tearing up about him leaving. And honestly, I'm kind of sad too.

We are really looking forward to celebrating all that Christmas entails in our home over the next few days. Love, Faith, Blessings, Laughter, and the Birthday of two of the most special people, ever.

Until then, surround yourself with those who make you happy. Believe in the magic. Cherish your family and rejoice.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
