Three hundred

Tonight, as the kids and Craig are in bed, I blog. Tonight, I will hit publish on my 300th post of this blog (not including 365 of confessions posts). When Paisley was 2 months old I decided that this would be the best way to keep my family and friends updated on what our little miracle baby was up to. I had no idea that 5 years, 300 posts, and 4 kids later, I would still be blogging once a week.

You. Whomever you are, reading this. Thank you. Many Sunday nights, I feel stressed to get the children to bed because I know I have this daunting task awaiting me. Download the sometimes hundreds of pictures I took over the week, edit many of them (usually just cropping, but still...time consuming), upload them, and then write. I appreciate it so much that you check in and read about our life. This blog serves as my children's baby book too...or weekly photo journal,  but knowing people actually read this makes it more worthwhile. Happy 300th post!

I scream you scream...

Over the last two weeks, the girls have had swimming lessons. Let me just say that we have one more year of parent-child lessons. That will be the greatest day ever. I'm pretty sure I could teach those lessons in my sleep. I'm a little pancake on my back, I'm a little pancake nice and flat......I had a little turtle, his name was tiny tim.......the hansome duke of York, he had ten thousand men.......

Baby E did really well. But by the last few days she had enough. She wanted to swim, but not listen to what the teachers wanted her to do.

Paisley rocked her lessons too. She is doing some mad doggy paddling and back floating, let me tell you.

Paisley's instructor actually told us that we could skip a level if we so choose. We'll have to take a look at the skills to see what's best for her...but obi she passed with flying colors!

This weekend Miss P had her friend Lydia spend the night. This was her first time having a non-cousin sleep over and she had fuuuun. (I however did not have fun dealing with her lack-of-sleep-crabbiness the next day.)
The girls went to the park, watched a movie, put on a puppet show for the littles and giggled...a lot. The next day, we took the whole fam plus Lydi to a nearby waterpark.

Madden is obsessed with dunking his head under. :)

I hesitate to even say this out loud type this, but I think, I think we are getting really close to a diaper free home. I know, I know. I'm not getting my hopes up. Okay, that's a lie. I can't freaking wait!!! It's been 6 years that we've been changing diapers. With no break!
This weekend we put Everleigh is big girl undies much of the time. She had some accidents, but a lot of successes too! 75% of the issue is me. We're still dealing with the boys potty training issues, so I've had a hard time committing to getting Ev trained, even though she's ready. The first few weeks are just so hard, and so time consuming. But...we're going for it now!

Friday I bought her a toy and told her that when she went poopy on the potty, she could have it. Tonight (as I was typing this post) she yelled from bed that she had to go. And sure enough, she did! So Evers and Squishy are sleeping together tonight! Yay!

The twins are trained, I guess you could say. It's been so different with them. Paisley was in undies, even at night, like 2 weeks after our first go at it. The boys, not so much. They for the most part stay dry during the day, but still wet a lot at night time.
They've each been begging for a Monsters U toy, so we placed them high on the fridge and they've both been working on NO accidents. Tonight, Hudson completed his chart!!

He was so proud of himself. And it was so great to see. He told Paisley, "I worked very hard for this." And he's right. Such a better feeling than just getting everything handed to you.

We're hoping Madden follows suit soon. He was pretty sad that he didn't earn his game.

Tonight we stopped by 'chalk fest'; what cool drawings!

So that's it. Swimming, sleep over and potty training. Exciting stuff, huh. :) Tomorrow is Monday. I'm not ready to get up and start the week, but I am ready for a peaceful drive to work sipping my coffee. In peace. Did I mention that? And when you are able to leave your kids with an amazing babysitter...it's hard to feel bad. They have an amazing time with Haley. And this is how they send me off in the mornings....

See you next week for #301....
