We celebrated by enjoying time with our family, opening gifts from Santa and family, and watching somebody turn SIX!
Although I did not do a very good job of getting pictures this year (but I do have to say I enjoyed being in the moment and worrying less about the perfect pictures much more!) --the pictures still tell the story. The story of The Bergie Bunch Christmas, 2013.
We spent Christmas Eve with my side of the family.
The babies were the center of the show.
Aunt Karen and the twins
Wrangling the kiddos.
Uncle Kurt teaching Grandma about the iPad and Facebook. Watch out because the Bergie Bunch Grandma might be on social media soon! ;)
Lane and Alyssa
Mary and Larry
Vanessa, Mary, Karen, and Mary's cracker. That cracker made it in more photos than you care to see. Or that Mary cares for me to post. :) Love ya, Mar.
Vanessa, Olivia and I.
My cousins and our kids. I love these people.
The second cousins, and Hudson's butt. He's so fun sometimes!
Christmas Eve was Oliver's last day with us in 2013. Prior to Xmas eve, we'd had two nights of crying from the kids--they were just SO sad that Oliver was leaving. They really do love this bugger.
Luckily, Oliver left a note about not being sad, and left them each a pair of pajamas to wear and think of him. It worked! Whew!
Then on December 25, we woke to....our SIX year old!!!
Happy Birthday, Paisley Rian! We are so blessed to be surrounded by this creative, silly, dancing, strong-willed, smart, caring, talkative young lady every day.
Here is our Miss P 5 years ago, a one year old.
And this year...
Love you, Miss P! Happy Birthday baby!
Having our own family traditions makes my heart smile. After opening gifts, we had pancake muffins, compete with a birthday candle and HBD song. The kids played with toys and then at noon, we went to G&G Bergs for the rest of the day.
The twins cheezin it up.
Paisley, Makyah, Everleigh and baby. Don't forget baby. Seriously.
Ever got roller skates. She dominated the carpet. The hard floor, not so much.
After Berg's, we went home for...more presents. Birthday presents. Holla for the Barbie camper...that thing is awesome!
And Christmas also brings no-nap days and craaaabbbyy toddlers.
It was a wonderful Christmas. We are healthy, together, happy and blessed. I hope you feel the same.
With extra time off of work, we played outside and went ice skating with Grandma.
(I wish everyone could experience the complete awesomeness of twins.)
I'm not sure awesomeness is a word. But whatevs. It's what they are.
Our four loves.
Who never want to sit for a picture.
And retaliate with snow balls.
It's been a lovely Christmas break. Now we prepare for dance performances, another birthday celebration, and two thousand fourteen.
Great Grandma snuggles at their best. Love.
Thanks for checking in.
Happy New Year. Talk to you in 2014.
~Brook
