With Thanksgiving a little later than usual, I feel like we've been mushing Thanksgiving and Christmas together a bit. I'm okay with it--and the kids are too. I mean, Christmas is exciting!
I never take many pictures at Thanksgiving. My mom put on a delicious meal, so unless you want to see people looking at the tv or eating, then there isn't really much to see.
Well, these 5 are pretty cute. Only Paisley had met cousin Elias before, so the others Everleigh was beyond excited to see the baby.
I love this. Elias is looking at me like, HELP! And the girls are cheezin away.
Besides the obvious, do you know what I'm thankful for?
This.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The one thing I hope my children learn is respect. And so far, so good. This makes me so proud. In my worst days as a mom, when I'm not being so respectful myself...it's there.
This is what Paisley is thankful for...
With extreme anticipation and excitement...look who is baaaaaack!
Does it change their behavior....uh, no. But it's a fun tradition nonetheless.
Our black Friday surprise... Haley! She was home from college and able to babysit while I went to an out of state Dr. appointment. The kids (and I) were so happy to see her!
We went to get our tree Friday evening. Paisley picked it! And it's perfect.
(please excuse the red rocking chair eye sore)
It's hard to believe Christmas is just 24 days away--and that it's almost been 6 years since we became parents (to a human anyway). Each year Miss P picks an ornament to represent her year. SIX= roller-skates. :)
Merry Thanksgiving!
XOXO,
Brook
