Thumbs up for Oliver being as silly as ever. Although one morning Paisley said, "Hmm, that's not even that funny, Oliver." My guess is that sometimes Oliver is tired from flying all over and listening to other elves that he doesn't always have the energy to get into trouble or be that silly. Hopefully he steps it up a bit.
Thumbs up for dance! The girls in our family LOVE dance. The boys do too, just maybe not this kind of dance. :) Paisley and I went to watch Makyah at her first competition of the year. Again, wowed by her talent. It's so fun to watch her. I can't get enough. And one little girl sure admires her big cousin!
Thumbs up for snow. Uh, er, um, Thumbs up for Daddys who are willing to create a sled train in the snow on a cold night. I hope they someday know how lucky they are to have a Dad like they do.
Thumbs up for baking. If you know me at all, you know I am not a baker. Cooking, yup, I got that. Baking, not so much. Craig called in the troops and while Paisley and I were at the dance competition, he and the kids went shopping for baking supplies. Then my mom came over to help. The extra hands were really nice. The kitchen was destroyed, but when the kids were done they were proud of their cookies and had a belly ache. That's what's suppose to happen, right?!
Thumbs up for a good first report card. Paisley's teacher had great things to say about her. Some comments included:
Wow, what a reader!
Paisley is a kind student and shows her love for learning, especially writing. Paisley tries her best and is always so proud of her work.
We are proud of her too.
I mean, really. Thumbs up to learning new "Th" words like.....uh, Thumb. Yah, thumb.
Pretty sure this work of hers may reappear in oh, maybe in May 2026. :)
