It's taken me a while to get to the computer to blog. And the longer I let it go, the harder it is to get back at it.
Part of the problem--I can't remember what we did the week(s) before, or any of the funny stuff that the kiddos did. So for now, you get pictures of what it's like Wisconsin livin. That's right. Snow, cold, more snow, more cold and a family who is dying for sun, warm weather and no socks in the laundry.
Last week, I had surgery. My mom took the kids while Craig took me to Rochester, MN to have the best of the best operate on my condition called schwannomatosis. I've been recovering since--and the kids and Craig have been wonderful. I am really lucky.
Here's what the kids have been up to...
Playing the (never-ending) snow
Building forts.
Building forts is a fun activity...until it's time to clean up.
Looking old. Doesn't she look too big here?!
Making a picnic for her babies in the middle of the kitchen floor, and getting really mad when I try to take a picture of it. Also, don't mind her hair. When it's a stay home day, she get's whatever she wants.
(I love that she does such a nice job of playing on her own)
Getting visits from Haley!
Doing homework. Kindergarten rocks.
Escaping the snow and inside of our house by heading to the mall to play.
And eating ice cream after...
And playing in the snow, again. This time, Craig built a snow fort with them.
Wisconsin livin'. For me, it's just waiting out the winter year after year, waiting for the days when we can drive with the windows down, let the kids run outside, not look albino, and spend our mornings doing something other than looking for lost mittens.
