22 months

Our little girl is quickly becoming a big girl. She is 22 months today. Yes, friends...in just 2 months, Paisley turns 2!!! (and that also means you have exactly 2 months to get your Christmas shopping done!) It's so cliche, but I can't believe how fast time has gone! Paisley is repeating most of the words you ask her to, and her vocabulary is rapidly expanding. She's still super silly, always trying to get a laugh out of you, and is very independent (not that that's anything new!).

(Doing a little raking with dad, what a good helper. She walked right through his leaf and grass piles!)
So as I have mentioned before, P loves to color.....and write. Here is an example of something she did this week. She could take a pen and paper and be occupied for a long time. While she's "writing", she says "oh, ah, le, key, ma, shu"...like she is saying the letters she is writing. It's so cute.

This weekend went by really fast. Friday we ended up getting a lot of wet, heavy snow. We trudged out for fish at the airport, and when we got home....no power!!! I was like...okay, what now? So we found some flashlights.....Paisley loved them!!....and candles, and we just sat around shining the flashlight around till bedtime. Sounds like a blast, huh?! We were in bed quite early that night!
Then Saturday, Paisley and I spent all day with my friends, celebrating Shannon and Rick's soon-to-be- baby boy! She did really well at the shower, we were there for 5 hours! The the girls came back to our house and Paisley entertained even more. She made all of us wear the baby's hats...so we got a little picture. Aren't we cute?!
With the snowfall, we brought out Paisley's new boots. Now, she won't take them off!! She's pretty much worn them since Friday, straight.

Sunday, my friend Brianna and her little girl Avaya came to play. Paisley, oh, Paisley....she's just not very good at the whole sharing her toys thing. She pretty much took every toy that Avaya wanted away from her. She horded toys and cried when I tried to enforce any time of sharing rule. I wonder what she's like at day care??? Hmmm. The girls ate lunch together...cute.

TWIN Update: 23 weeks
Okay, I'm starting to get nervous. The babies could be here in 3 months...and I am not even close to ready!!! I bought a few clothes, as you saw last week. Other than that....we have nothing!! I mean, we have one of everything...but still have to buy a car seat, crib, mattress, stroller, more bottles, maybe a new vehicle, some blue stuff..... AHHH. I think I need to start shopping!!
I've been feeling the babies move a lot!!! We have another appt this week, so I am anxious to see how they've grown (and not gonna lie...just double check the genders!). I am really missing sleep. Where are you?? I'm always tired, but my body won't get me rest.

With their sense of movement well developed by now, the babies can feel me dance. (umm, okay?!? I'm not doing a whole lot of dancing these days!) And now they are more than 11 inches long and weigh just over a pound, about like a large mango. Blood vessels in their lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that the babies increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing them for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze them when they hears them outside the womb. (Good, so they will be able to sleep through Paisley's screaming and crying then?? Great!)
Enjoy the little video clip below...and have a great week....and a SAFE and FUN Halloween!!! We are looking forward to watching our little BEE trick-or-treat!!!
Love,
The Bergie's
