So...since I was a little girl, all I've wanted to be is a mom. It's not much of a secret to those who know me...I love children, and wanted to have kids when I was like 18. I've also always wanted a lot of kids. The one problem I never quite worked through in my mind was how I might transport all of these children. Who knows, maybe I thought I'd also be rich and could afford some luxury SUV or something. But, the fact of the matter is that I am not rich...and with twins on the way, the Berg's had to break down and get a van. So even though I wanted to be that mom with lots of kids...I never ever ever ever wanted a van. I know, I know...I will learn to love it. But I will also really miss my kick ass black pimped out SUV too. I mean...really! So....go ahead and call me a soccer mom, or more like a "field fairy" mom. (we are hoping the boys choose baseball and not soccer)....so when you see me 'round town, transporting my 3 kids, I might just still have rap music playing...thinking I am 22 and....just let me, okay?!?! :)
Paisley actually LOVES the van. When we were test driving and looking at them...she cried when we made her get out. And it is going to be very nice to be able to fit the kids, and the HUGE stroller in the van...along with my 85 bags from Target!
We've been having lots of fun with Paisers lately. She is becoming such a comedian. She loves her blocks, Mr.Potato Head, Carebear castle and going crazy! I'm also starting to see her looks change in the last couple of weeks. Maybe she's getting her 2 year old face on. :) I think she's starting to look more like me, but I'm not sure if anyone else can see it.
My mom has been a big help with Paisley lately...and this weekend she stopped for pizza and coloring. And then on Saturday she took Paisley for the night. They went up to Weyerhaeuser to see great grandma and grandpa, while I celebrated the upcoming birth, and Craig went out with the guys.
First let me start by saying that I have the best friend anyone could ever ask for!!! Amy threw me a "twins celebration", "diaper party"....ummm, whatever you want to call it besides a "shower". :) She did an amazing job on everything....and bought me way too much!! But, I had a really fun time with the girls---we ate a wonderful meal, drank wine (or grape juice) and sat around and talked! My kind of night. I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming supply of diapers and wipes! Even though we need like 5 million diapers, we have a great start on our supply for the boys!! Everyone was very generous.....THANK YOU!!!

TWIN Update: 29 Weeks
The babies probably weigh about 2.5 pounds each, and most likely are about 15-16 inches long. That's a lot of baby when there are two of them! I am literally up a minimum of 5 times a night using the bathroom, sounds fun, huh?!!? I've also been having some cramping....maybe braxton hicks?? I'm not sure...I don't think I ever had those with Paisley. Otherwise, so far, so good. We see the doctor every two weeks now, and I have 5 weeks until I am kinda in the safe zone. They really want you to make it to 34 weeks. (and so do I). I do feel prepared now though, we have the van...and that was the last big thing to check off the to-do list.
Some weird things about my pregnancy----- I am obsessed with the smell of pine sol and chapstick. I had this obsession when I was pregnant with Paisley too. But when I was cleaning before the party Saturday, I found myself practically inhaling the pine sol smell. MMMMM. I've also been craving ice cubes. I just wish I had those fun ice cubes with the little holes in them like they have at the metrodome, Luther hospital and Sonic. Weird, but true.
Well....I have been procrastinating a huge research paper, due tonight. So I need to get my butt in gear. Thank God I only have 2 weeks left of classes (2 long and hard weeks)!!!
Hope you all enjoy your week.
Beep Beep from the Van...
