Sunday-Funday with the Bergs...
This week was literally the most hectic week of my life. I'm confident I wouldn't win mother of the year award...we had 5 million things to do. Monday, Paisley and I went to the dentist. She did great, and no sugar bugs!! Then that night, Paisley started swimming lessons!! Daddy took her Monday night, Uncle Cal Tuesday night, we had to miss Wednesday, and I took her Thursday. (Thank you, Cal!!).....because of the craziness of the week, Miss P got a different swim partner each night! She loves swimming and has even dunked her head several times.

Tuesday, (the reason uncle Cal had to fill in at swimming)....Craig had sinus surgery. Everything with the surgery went well, and hopefully he will be able to breathe through his nose for once in his life! But since then...this house has been seriously hectic. Let's just say I'm not cut out to be a stay at home, single mom of 5! :) It also means I really value all Craig does around here to help this household run! Having him out of commission is not fun!
So, even when Craig is feeling up to par, our house is crazy. The twins have been into everything and not listening to anything. They don't play--they destroy. I feel like all I do is yell NO! I can't keep up with the house work or laundry. Actually, there are really no words to describe the noise level and mess that's in our house. I thought I better document what our living room looks like on any typical morning. And I promise you...this isn't even bad!
Now Paisley has been telling me, "I'm too tired" or "It's too much work" when I ask her to clean up. Ummm....yah, me too!! I'm tired and yes, it is SO much work. It never ends here. I love it. I love it. I love it. :)
Hudson and Madden fight every single day over Paisley's electric toothbrush. When we give them their "normal" toothbrush, they chuck it across the room and scream. So, today I bought them their very own electric toothbrushes. They were quiet (besides the humming of the toothbrush) for a good 30 minutes. I so wish I would have purchased those sooner! It was amazing......until Madden tried to hit Everleigh over the head with his....so it got taken away. Then Hudson succeeded in hitting Everleigh over the head with his...so now these awesome "toys" are up high. Maybe tomorrow they will behave. Maybe.
And Baby Everleigh Calla-- she's just been smiling away! She and I have been spending lots of quality time at night together. But the smiles make it all worth while!!

And the newest addition to our home....some new baby birdies who have been making their home on top of our garage door opener. We've kept the garage door open a few inches every night for their mama...and today, two were born!
A special congratulations to my very best friend, Amy...who has a sparkly new ring and a husband in her near future!! I'm really happy for you, Amy and Matt!
G'Night,

This week, Craig heads back to work. I'll be alone with all four kiddos this week. I'm actually not even nervous! I'm looking forward to spending my last week off doing lots of playing and snuggling. I don't care if my dishes are piling up, if we are wearing dirty clothes or if toys are everywhere. It's my last week of maternity leave, ever. And even though this past week just about did me in...I'm going to hope and pray that Hudson and Madden take it easy on us all this week!
A special congratulations to my very best friend, Amy...who has a sparkly new ring and a husband in her near future!! I'm really happy for you, Amy and Matt!
G'Night,
Mama Bergie
