If you need something fixed in the shop, you can count on Everleigh. She works in her undies and I think the look works well for her.
A few days this week, the weather was beautiful...
But when it began to rain, and rain, and rain, I was reminded of how much I love when the kids can play outside. So instead, we had to...
Play catch with marshmallows. Then I let them eat them off of the floor.
Play twister.
They last about three spins, so the games go pretty quickly.
Then paint...
And because the rain still hadn't stopped...we went bowling.
Every year, we watch the Memorial Day parade with our family. It was weird to not have Makyah with us this time...but luckily, we found her...carrying an instrument twice her size. :)
She's wearing the flats, playing the sax. Great job, Kyah!
Catching candy while it's kind of raining, muddy and just wet everywhere isn't as fun. But trust me, the candy tastes the same.
If you know Paisley at all, you know she's a pretty serious kid. She's also way Type A. Late Friday night when I was going to bed, I went in to check on all of the kids like usual. In her room I found her outfit laid out with this detailed list of what she had planned for her Saturday.
Thank God she planned some time in there to "setul down" before going back outside to play! :) Love her.
In just 3 short months, life is going to seem very different. Paisley will be a 2nd grader, Everleigh will be starting half days in school, and the twins....the twins will be in Kindergarten. It makes me want to bawl. For all of the days I thought I couldn't survive life with them, for all of the days I wished they would be old enough to be in school....it's now that I wish a million times over I could just rock those tiny guys to sleep again. Twin babies and twin toddlers were A LOT of work. But they also have this special bond with us, and with each other that sending them off to Kindergarten seems so hard to do.
This week, they had orientation. They met all of the teachers and some classmates. As I figured, Madden willingly went with the teachers, and Hudson was hesitant. Even though it's such an exciting time for them, and I know they will thrive and love it...I'm dreading the first day of school terribly. As I type this, I'm holding back tears. Ahh!
Really though. I felt like this day would never get here...and now I'm not sure how it did.
Cheers to the last summer before all of the kids are in some type of school!
XOXO,
Brook
