Field Fairy

Last weekend Paisley walked in the parade with her dance studio. The littles, grandma and I watched and waited for her.
When she walked by, I could not find her! I just started snapping pictures in hopes I'd get her. Well...look hard. I got a picture of her face, barely.

Paisley had class, and while we waited for Craig to pick up the little kids, they danced away in the neighboring studio. I can't wait to show the boys this in a few years.

Super exciting news! Our Disney magic bands have arrived. This means that our trip is coming up fast! Less than three weeks and the Bergie Bunch takes on Disney. Wish us luck!
For the last year or two, we've been trying to get Everleigh involved in something. Anything, really. She has refused. We offered dance, gymnastics, t-ball, soccer, swimming....nope. She wants to stay home. The time had come that we wouldn't let her say no anymore. So I signed her up for soccer. We were prepared for meltdowns, crying and refusal. For days prior, she sternly said, "I am not playing! I'm not going!"
The day came...she got dressed...and kicked the ball around in our yard. We told her she was the best soccer player we had ever seen. And off we went.
One thing you should know is how Craig feels about soccer. He doesn't like it. Not one bit. He calls soccer players field fairies. But what I think, is that there were little fairies out on that field, because our timid, stand-off-ish Everleigh PLAYED. And LOVED it.

And the best part (well, best next to not having to force her to play) is that Craig loved it too! Well, he loved watching his baby girl play, anyway.

She's had two great nights of soccer--so I'm crossing my fingers that she has found something that she loves to do...other than play babies and legos.

Speaking of those field fairies...I'm quite sure they've been with our family for a while now. Because the twins started flag football, and they played too!! Do you remember last year?? There was a lot of crying, pouting and sitting in the middle of the field. There was very little playing. But so far, so good this year!

Hudson's really fast. They played sharks and minnows, and Hudson was one of the last minnows alive--all of the sharks were after him! :) (He's right on the 0 )

Because Sunday night's get hectic, especially with football in the late afternoon, I wrote this blog a little earlier than normal. (I usually do it after the kids are in bed Sunday nights). Everleigh had a slight fever, so I couldn't go to football tonight. I have been waiting to publish the blog to add a few more football pics once they got back. Well....I think the field fairy had to be somewhere else...and our luck ran out. Craig sent me these texts, with some words I shouldn't write the blog....

Looks like some sweet flag football is happening with the Berg boys, huh?
How can they love it one week (and say they want to play football all day, every day) and then this?!!? Okay, I know the answer...but it's still tough to deal with! Poor Craig...I know he's just beside himself on that field. It's beyond frustrating.
So with that....
Mama B is signing off. I'm hoping to go find that damn field fairy.

XOXO,
Brook
