Thanks

This summer, Paisley had to go in for an orthodontic evaluation. We saw two different orthodontists for opinions. Unfortunately, they didn't give us the same opinion. So after weighing our options and getting a third opinion, we finally decided what to do with this little mouth full of very big teeth.

The problem is that she's had teeth missing for over a year, but the new ones won't grow in because there is no space. One orthodontist suggested that we put spacers, an expander and braces on now for round one of treatment, as well as pull two teeth. The other said have four teeth pulled and wait it out a bit to see if her mouth expands as she grows.
We decided to go with the less aggressive option--to see if time will make a difference, and have 4 teeth pulled. Somehow the week before her appointment she pulled one of them out on her own! It wasn't even loose. She told the dentist that she just pushed her sucker really hard on it. Nice. Just what the dentist wanted to hear. :) So anyway, we had the three other eye teeth pulled in hopes of creating space for other teeth to move in.

She kind of looks like a little bunny. It's cute. She's doing just fine after the procedure, and now we...wait.

In happier news, we celebrated our niece Payton's 6th birthday. Happy Birthday, Payton!
Craig's been working a ton lately. The kids and I have used the weekends alone to play, read, clean and get ready for Christmas. One day we went to the children's museum.
Then we went to the library.

The above pictured child, Mr. Hudson Koehler is so sweet. See what he is most thankful for? It gives me a little hope that Jesus is in his life because good LAWD. This child....he is definitely testing me for everything I have. His mood can just flip for no (known to me) reason. I'm praying that this phase is over before he's 15. And that his desire to only wear three items of clothing changes way before that.

When school was out for Thanksgiving break, all of the kids got to go to Courtney's together. Everleigh was pretty pumped to have the big kids there with her.

We had a great Thanksgiving....bbbbuuuuuutttt....I didn't take a single picture. Not one. ooops.
When we got home from my mom's house, Oliver, our Elf on the Shelf had returned. The kids have been super excited to have Oliver back. Here is what he's been up to the last couple of days...
Picking out the perfect tree...

In the past couple of weeks we've had conferences for all four kids. We couldn't be more proud. They are all doing great academically and socially. I'm really proud of these four. There are minutes, hours and sometimes days that I just want to be alone, or to just mindlessly watch TV. But the reality is, I don't know how to live like that anymore. The loud, crazy, funny, loveable Bergie Bunch is all mine. I'm thankful beyond belief. These four are the best things in our life.

Thanks! No really, thanks for taking time to read about our family! XOXO
